Pretty Pony Pastures

The girls had a blast learning all about horses during this two hour class!! They rode, groomed their horse, learned how a horse communicates and their horses' anatomy!!

My kids had a blast! They loved the pony ride and all the educational information they got out of the event.

What a wonderful experience for my children! We took advantage of Miss Linda's Easter event, and "test road some ponies". My children have never been on a horse before it. Both of them felt very comfortable and enjoyed themselves a lot! I would highly recommend this to anyone who has children who are interested or love horses.

Our daughter enjoys doing Miss Linda's zoom Brownie badge workshops & has completed almost all of the ones available in her programming. Miss Linda is patient with the girls and is sure to include them all during the class. Thank you, Miss Linda!

Pretty Pony Pastures is a great place for kids of any rideable age. Doesn’t matter if you have special needs or just the kid next door. Volunteers and staff are friendly with smiles for everyone and very encouraging to help you reach your goals. Horses give plenty of love as well.

Ms Linda was absolutely wonderful! My Girl Scout Daisy loved the activities (including drawing out a plan and a game to identify trash in nature). Ms Linda included all of the participants and really engaged with their answers. You can tell Ms Linda is a lifelong Girl Scout. My daughter was so excited when one of her answers prompted Ms Linda to recognize the associated Daisy petal that, yes, she has earned. The workshop was a great length to engage in the content with the young girls while not exceeding their attention span. My Daisy finished the workshop excited about what they had covered and really happy that she had taken the class and earned her badge. We would definitely do another webinar workshop with Ms Linda!

My Brownie loved the class. It was easy for her to navigate and participate. She enjoyed making her bird feeder and observing for the week to see if birds fed.

Ms. Linda has been a superb video instructor. For our small class, she did wonderful presenting the material in an age-appropriate fashion and kept each child engaged and participating. I’ve signed up for as many of her virtual classes as I could.

Pretty Pony Pastures is a wonderful place! My daughter learned to ride there. She learned how to take care of the horses along with her riding. She has a great respect and love for horses thanks to Pretty Pony Pastures. Highly recommend this place!!!!

My daughter loved Ms. Linda. Her first class, she was the only one in the class and Ms. Linda still had the class. When I signed her up for the second class, my daughter was very adamant that it be the same teacher since Ms. Linda put her at ease so much. My daughter has anxiety being in bigger groups, even online, so I greatly appreciate the time and care Ms. Linda put in with my daughter.

Great place to ride and volunteer. I had a blast doing both with the horses before I moved away. Plenty of wonderful animals to love and people to meet.

It is a blessing to have such devoted people who take such good care of their horses and let anyone come and ride. They allow the Girl Scouts to come and earn their badges, too. We have ridden at Pretty Pony Pastures for 10 years. It has been a great experience for both of my kids. Our son has CP and we have been so happy with the trunk control and improvements we have seen. Linda makes the program fun for the kids with different themes for the holidays.

Visited with my adult grandson who has autism. Had a nice time grooming a horse and chatting with the patient, kind and wise, Linda!

The activities were very easy for my daughter to do along with the instructor. I liked that the girls were able to be involved and answer questions. She enjoyed learning some new things from this!

My scout is a Daisy and had a wonderful time. She was happy to listen to the brief introduction about birds and where they live specifically. It was nice to have it personalized to the regions where all of the students on the call were from. I forget the host's name, but she was very sweet, did not rush, and it was very obvious she was enjoying what she was doing, also. My Daisy loved getting her hands messy and making the shapes with the birdseed mixture! It felt like a good accomplishment for her when we were finished. As a Daisy, she definitely needed help from an adult, and it was a lot of fun for both of us to share the experience. This was an enjoyable, hands-on learning opportunity AND inexpensive; perfect!! My first zoom, I was very impressed with the amount of involvement between the teacher and the girls. Myself and my child both learned new facts about horses. I am definitely on the look out for more classes in the future.

My Daisy in Girl Scouts really enjoyed it. She enjoyed getting outside and picking out some leaves and measuring them.

This class covered a huge amount of material very quickly. My daughter did not understand everything that was being taught but was too shy to ask questions. It was not enough time to complete the badge requirements - even remotely. Everything needed to be done outside of the class, just was a good overview of all the things to be covered. Disappointed. We will do this badge on our own at a slower pace.

If you’re a gardener and you like plants you would love the Gardener badge class. It was very fun and informative.

My daughter attended the Bette Perot camp this summer, so she had already completed the riding portion of this badge. This was a great workshop! She really enjoyed learning all the details of horse care. Thank you!

My daughter paid attention the whole time, and said she actually liked the class. Her favorite part was eating the bug snacks. As a mom, I appreciated how the instructor allowed the participants to share, but also didn't force anyone to do so. We'll be doing more.

Great basic exposure for young, 1st-time riders! My 5yr old was very scared before, but absolutely loved it afterward! The staff was welcoming, patient and engaging & really boosted his confidence.

The team we worked with was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and ensured the safety of the girls was the #1 priority. The event was organized, detailed and ensured everyone learned the required skills and understanding to earn their badge. We had a great day and can't wait to go back.

My Girl Scouts enjoy the classes that they take with Pretty Pony Pastures. They are in Second Grade, and have fun! My daughter especially loved the snack activity, and asks us to repeat that snack again and again!

I am a Girl Scout leader in El Paso, Texas and appreciated Linda going over the steps of the Junior horseback riding badge. It was simple to set up and a great way to introduce a new badge in a fun way. We are meeting both virtually and in person and this will prepare the girls for our actual horseback riding event in March.

The class was great. My daughter was really engaged the whole time. The activities were well planned and age appropriate. Overall it was great.

We loved this virtual class so much! If your child loves horses this is the class for you. The lady who does the class answers all questions and takes her time explaining things so young kids can understand it.

This badge and activity were well planned and executed. Ms. Linda kept the girl's attention the entire time, and the girls loved doing the badge with her. The edible campfire was very fun for the girls to build, and at the same time, learn all about the safety and how-to. My daughter's favorite part was completing the badge with another troop member and learning how to extinguish a campfire.

This was a wonderful program for my Junior Girl Scouts! The instructor started on time, planned the meeting well, covered everything needed to earn the badge and stuck to her agenda, allowed the girls to answer questions, and the information was accurate. I highly recommend this class!

None of my Juniors enjoyed this event. We were wholly disappointed. I waited a month to write this review to collect feedback from all the parents and to be levelheaded when I wrote it.
The presenter really was rude. Several parents contacted me because the presenter was actually mocking one of the girls for saying she was tired (not a girl from my troop). I was blown away. One of the girls in my troop - who is a Junior mind you - was so upset and frustrated that she ended up crying and her parent ended her participation early. This is NOT what I was expecting when I saw a 5 star badge. Disappointed really doesn't describe.

My daughter really enjoyed this class. She learned a lot about how animals live outside. She had fun making and then eating her campfire.

My granddaughter is staying home and learning on-line for school, as so many kids these days. She absolutely loved the Girl Scout Junior Badge Events "ANIMAL HABITATS" and "Horseback Riding"!!! They were very informative and FUN! They both held her interest. She is hoping for more Junior activities!! Helps keep her feeling connected. Thank You!!!

My daughter rides weekly after I signed her up last year for a riding camp she loved it so much. My daughter has down syndrome and Ms Linda us wonderful with her she truly loves her students !!!

My junior loves taking these classes so as a Juliette she can earn her babes with fellow Girl Scouts over the US. She feels more confident speaking in public with these classes as well.
