Overview

Earn the first four steps for your Bit 'N Bridle badge virtually! Last step at a riding facility close to your home.

This highly interactive one-hour Zoom workshop completes the first four steps of the Brownie Bit 'N Bridle Badge. Scouts will be shown demonstrations, slides, and interact with the host by asking and answering questions. Badge is NOT included. 

This badge is from Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama and can be purchased through the GSUSA store -> 
You will be provided with the link to order the badge when you register.

In this session scouts will learn:

  • The basic equipment used for horseback riding
  • How to be safe around a horse
  • How to take care of a horse
  • How horses were used throughout history
  • How to prepare for the ride

This workshop is scheduled for one hour. Actual time could be more or less depending on the participation of the scouts.
