Overview

Do  you know how birds can survive when food can be scarce during the winter.

In this interactive Zoom workshop, we will explore how birds can stay warm, where they like to live, and what they do when there is snow on the grounds.

Participants will make two types of bird seed cookies that they can hang on their trees outdoors for the birds to eat!

Participant will earn the Feeding the Birds fun patch.

This workshop is scheduled for one hour but may be longer or shorter depending on the number of participants and their participation.

My scout is a Daisy and had a wonderful time. She was happy to listen to the brief introduction about birds and where they live specifically. It was nice to have it personalized to the regions where all of the students on the call were from. I forget the host's name, but she was very sweet, did not rush, and it was very obvious she was enjoying what she was doing, also. My Daisy loved getting her hands messy and making the shapes with the birdseed mixture! It felt like a good accomplishment for her when we were finished. As a Daisy, she definitely needed help from an adult, and it was a lot of fun for both of us to share the experience. This was an enjoyable, hands-on learning opportunity AND inexpensive; perfect!! Thank you!!

Thank you for your comments. Yes! You can get a little messy with this one, but the birds appreciate what we do for them. I'm glad your daughter had a wonderful time.
