Overview

Earn the first four steps for your Junior Gardener badge virtually!

The last step is planting a garden, which you need to do at your home.

Scouts will be shown pictures, set up a hands-on plant experiment, and interact with the host by asking and answering questions about gardens. They will decide which type of garden they would like to plant, determine the hardiness zone that they live in, design their dream garden, and discover what the plants need to flourish.

The only thing left for them to do is plant a garden! Add this badge to your "It's your Planet - Love It" Activity set.

The link with the Zoom information is in the confirmation email and the reminder email, which is sent out about 24 hours before the event takes place.

Please check you spam folder if you do not get it.

This workshop is scheduled for one hour, but may be longer or shorter depending on the number of scouts and their participation.

LEADERS: We can schedule this badge workshop exclusively for your troop. Contact us for details.

For 9 year olds it was very technical. They still had a good time participating in the virtual Badge event.
