About
Yes for Chess

Yes For Chess was created in 2008 with the idea not just to teach chess,
but to use chess to teach children critical thinking, and creative problem-solving in a fun environment.

This concept was quickly embraced by schools and parents, which allowed us to teach thousands of students throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Now, utilizing distance learning technology, we reimagined how we teach, allowing us to connect with students across the country.

Founded in 2008
Our Staff

Our instructors enjoy working with kids, and make chess fun and engaging.  To ensure child safety, all instructors are fingerprinted and pass a background check.

My 11 year old learned a lot in the intermediate class. The instructors are kind and respectful. The kids feel comfortable when asking questions in class. Wishing that the class is offered in my children's school (after school program).
