Funny and educational session, both for karate basics, and for learning the background of respect in the martial arts. We discussed MLK during our class, and we were reminded that even as kids we will learn by paying attention to things that are going on around us in the world. Thank you!

It was fun and entertaining for one of my kids that is 7 years. On the other hand, my daughter who is 8 thought it was too difficult. Not enough engagement.

The Fencing and Fun-gineering class was awesome. My son had a very good time building LEGOs and also learning some fencing moves.

I feel very grateful to get to know how toxic the self comparison that brought out by the social media and how much depression it puts to teenagers. This information prompted my awareness of the precaution to the next level. I am glad I can know it before my child exists these symptoms. Truly appreciate that!

I really learned a lot about how to help my child work with technologies in more appropriate ways and how to have those conversations about the use of technology with my child as well as the rest of my family.

A teens guide to social dilemma was a fantastic class for my 11 year old. I listened in and watched some of the zoom discussion. I wish all kids were able to have this class available. This opened up a long family discussion about how to monitor use of media in general. My son was thrilled to find that he isn't the only one struggling with social media and games as well as the anxiety it causes him. He is very interested in finding a good balance and the class gave him great tips!

My daughter had an incredible, magical experience with Elsa during the live Zoom class! It was a highly professional class that allowed real interaction with the kids, and my daughter was more excited than I've seen her in months. We will definitely be signing up for more classes in the future :)

Due to the confusion with the time change we did not make the class.

This was an awesome class! The instructor was great with all the children. The yoga was perfect for all age groups.

CD was an incredible teacher for all ages. She was very personable, engaging, and went out of her way to get to know each student in her class. She also managed the available class time and number of students per class very well. My child LOVED attending her classes and we look forward to attending more in the future. Great fun activity for a 6year old. Wish there were more session options.

We liked the opportunity to connect with kids around the world while learning a new skill from the comfort of our home.

Wow this was amazing. My boys loved the teacher. They shared they liked how happy she was and they thought she had a pretty voice. They continued singing the saints song.

Also as I listened to the history given, it felt good to ask them about what they learned how much they retained. I thought the teacher did an excellent job balancing the delicate topic of racism.

Being a teacher myself I thought she was clear, educated through fun and song and really did a wonderful job.

I will be looking out for other classes to sign up. She mentioned the choir I think would be great to sign up for.

My daughters enjoyed chromatography shirt science experiment. Loved it. The sessions was interactive and instructor gave time to kids to do their masterpiece and allowed them to show and tell their work.

Great class, instructor did a good job of engaging and giving directions.

My 8 year old looks forward to this activity every Friday.

My was skeptical, but thoroughly enjoyed it at the end.

I think its REALLY awesome that they offer "pay what you can" option!

I was nervous about paying for something online, something I had no idea how it would work for my family. But the classes are obviously very carefully selected by Activity Hero and are all great! I love how there is always an Activity Hero rep sitting in on the class to help the teacher with technical stuff, and to monitor the class flow. And when I sent an email enquiry I got an instant response back from Activity Hero. I really feel supported on this new journey of online learning. Thank you!

Wonderful and a perfect steam activity. My son learned about parts of a flower and why flowers are important. Then he drew a beautiful vase with flowers at the end.

Other than those spamming the comment box, the experience was very fun and engaging. The teachers were personable and positive and involved kids in the tricks. The only thing I didn't like was the extensive advertising plug near the end of the show that took up at least the last 10 minutes of the hour. I don't mind advertising for other programs, but I thought the amount was a little heavy.

Hello, I thought the magic material was great was presented a little quickly but overall fun.. I did find the streaming chat bothersome due to continued random comments and use of bad language. My daughter was highly distracted and would read the bad comments. I’m more than sure the majority of it was kids playing on the chat but I would suggest maybe blocking the chat if possible.. overall was fun for my daughter and that’s the main thing. Thank u

It was Fantastic and Excellent session with the speaker. It gives more expertise knowledge and skills to enhance the high quality hidden talent for the students.

My daughter really loved it! It was a pencil drawing class on a dog, free or whatever donation you could give, it was perfect to get her interested in doing more art.

My daughter normally is very shy when it comes down to her art. Since, attending CD's Art class she is much more confident in her abilities to do excellent work. I am very proud of my daughter. CD's Art class really cares about taking her time and being clear on how the techniques should be.

The activity was outstanding! The presenter was able to engage the children by providing age appropriate activities. It gave my son encouragement as he was able to interact with others across the country.

I wanted something for my kids to do that wasn't multiple classes long and that wasn't going to break the bank. I found a drawing class on ActivityHero that was perfect for what I wanted. One hour long. Very well priced. The class was self-contained within that one hour. My kids love art and drawing and they really enjoyed learning some new techniques. I hope there will be more stuff like this one and done kind of thing. Not really into the camps.

My 7 years old boy had an excellent time in this class using his Lego and he made a 'flying forest' for animals to travel and see the world while not having to leave their forest :) It was fun and kept him engaged all the time.

Extremely likely! We've taken two classes; a lego class and a cooking class, both were so much fun and so professional! We loved the interactivity of the teachers, the professional set ups that were used for equipment, and that there were lots of people who attended with us. Additionally, the personalities of the teachers were fantastic - engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable. Most importantly, the teachers working with the kids were patient and clearly experienced with talking to and working with children. We will be signing up and taking many more classes in the future!

The kids adored the lesson and it was so engaging!!!! My girls were worried about not being in school and not making a special and secretive Mother's Day gift like the school always does. This was such a thoughtful way of allowing them that chance! Thank you so very much for sharing your huge heart and talent!

Great course! And love the instruction with the option to pop off the call when complete. This is a nice way to bring back some power to our children and to limit unnecessary screen time. Teaches them to use the screen wisely.

Beginning Chess for Kids was amazing! My very active 7 years watched and learned and was completely captivated!

It was good to have guidance on a animal habitat theme and the videos to relate to habitats was helpful to connect the dots for my 6YO. Instructor was engaging and easy to follow and my kiddo kept building long after the class was over. Thank you !

My 6 year old son was very engaged by a free, virtual Activity Hero art class he attended last week delivered by CD's Art Studio. Though it impossible for a virtual class to generate the same kind of impact and community that attending classes in a real art studio would have, in this time of social distancing, it is clear that Activity Hero Live and providers such as CD's Art Studio are a thoughtful and skillful in what they are doing. They are helping families to make virtual attendance in enrichment classes go smoothly. CD is a great teacher and I can't say enough great things about how Activity Hero is helping families in this time of social distancing.

My son did several Lego themed online classes through AH that he really enjoyed. The instructors were great and made the sessions very interactive. The classes were easy to plan for, just needed loose Lego bricks. Fun experience to help during COVID downtime.

The class was pleasant. One thing I don’t like was that I was struggle to look for the class materials that listed (more than 15 items) on the website. Then found out only needs three items at the class.

CD’s Art Studio was amazing! My 10 yr old Daughter likes to draw but she sketch her very first drawing and I couldn’t believe how beautiful she did! Shading and all! She already signed up for the next class!

My daughter has special needs and although the ART class she participated in moved a little too fast for her, she enjoyed it and will be back for more.

This review is for the online free drawing classes offered by CD's Art Studio. My daughter attended two free online classes drawing super cute animals. She would happily and proudly presented to me her drawing after each class. And I would be amazed by how detail and lifelike they were.
She never took a formal art class but has always loved drawing cartoons. I'm happy that she got to be exposed to something different while having a good time.

Because of how much she loved these classes, I felt compelled to make a small contribution toward her last class tomorrow. We will definitely consider signing her up for other art classes by CD's or the summer camps!

Lots of interesting information was shared however with my daughter being in the younger recommended age range- 4 years old, we had hoped there may have been more hands on learning/direction ie with her plush dog. I feel this last program was appropriate and informative for the older children.

i love that ActivityHero has many different classes available, even ones that are donation based. We tried out a financial knowledge class and even though my husband and I try to teach our kids similar concepts, it is great to hear from others too to hone in the lessons. We will keep looking for other classes that for our family.

My kids attended a little medical school veterinary class. They are 2 boys, of 5 and 9 years old. My older son loved it. He followed the whole class, made really nice drawings of his "surgery" and is excited for the next class. It was more difficult for his brother. I think he was just a bit too young. He also wanted his brother's spot and plishy for the class,which didn't help (he takes fights on the smallest subjects lately). Over all, I was really satisfied with the class and signed for more. I think it's really worth the try, just to see if it's a good fit for you :)

ActivityHero has been a boon during these times of crisis. While kids have been used to live instruction during school, now during the shelter in place, these online live instruction classes bring back the normalcy that the kids deserve. Really grateful to the founders of this program to keep this enrichment going. I would categorize Activity Hero as one of the essential services while keeping our kids safe and sheltered.

There are so many activities for kids I recommend it to anyone kids and adults as one especially now in a time like this so much to do online you have to try it !!!!

Our daughter participated in the cooking class. Overall, it was good! She enjoyed it. She's 12. The only thing I would recommend is beyond sending the items needed also suggest what needs to be prepped beforehand. An hour is short if there are multiple steps, multiple ingredients and multiple things to do. It can make the process a bit frustrating. But, once we got it together, the dish and biscuits were very tasty. Also, we should know how much we are preparing serves. I would recommend. Thanks!

Highly recommend!! What a wonderful service to provide to children during the pandemic. The classes we have tried (karate, CD’s art studio, Little Medical School, meditation) have been held by enthusiastic teachers and well structured.

I like to make movies because I want to see the movie and draw characters from the film.

Reduce the age limit from 14 to 10/11 as the lesson was very childish for anyone over 21yrs

My 5-year old son and 5-year old daughter did the lesson where they drew penguins. My husband and I were shocked to see how well their drawings turned out when we went to check on them near the end of the lesson. Great lesson!

I thought this was a very good experience. I only wish there were more drawing classes for kids of all ages and abilities. My son has developmental delays, but was able to do the artwork even though he is not a very confident sketch artist. I would sign up for more if there were more cheap or free classes.

It was fun! I didn't expect my 4 and half year old would sit through the whole session, but he DID! He thought the teacher could see him and hear him, so he talked along and all the way, LOL.

Was a really kid friendly program to educate kids on Covid-19. I found it age appropriate and fun for the kids with a science experiment mixed in. Great job by presenter.
