My son had a fantastic time and came home with tons of wonderful art projects he is proud of!

Our family and friends love Young Arts. The teachers are very friendly and patient. There is lots to do and very affortable.

This is great to have at the mall. The kids love going here and I get to go shopping, everyone wins. The kids come up with creative stuff and always want to come back.

My child enjoyed coming to young art and will continue to keep coming over. This time, she brought her school friends with her.

I have been coming to this center. I like all the instructors. They teach my son how to make shapes out of clay. They make really cute clay type of animals. My son learn to focus and use his motor skills to make a clay shaped animal.

Our kids really enjoy it. There's painting and clay art to do. Getting the membership deal is worth it if this is something your kid(s) enjoys. We have two kids and the one membership can be shared between the two kids. Also great to drop them off and so you can freely shop without making the kid feel like their being dragged all over the mall.

My daughter always has a blast and loves to use her art time to make gifts for other people. Everyone at Young Art works hard to make sure the kids have fun and that they go home with work they can be proud of.

Our child enjoyed this camp very much and learned a lot. She started the week a bit timid and unsure, but by the end of the week, she was in the groove, participating with the group, and proud of what she was learning. She can't wait for the next one. One tip for parents who might be wondering: we started out the class with just using the paper and pencil materials, which was what was required, and they worked just fine if that's what you have. However, we had gotten an email the week prior to the camp about the option to use a computer program to do the drawing for the camp since it was a camp on computer gaming, simply giving us the information that a lot of kids did use this and it was available. We didn't opt for it at first, but later in the week when we realized how many other kids used it and seemed to be learning a lot from it, we went ahead and set that up for our child, too. Looking back, I'd have gone ahead and done that from the get go just to have gotten the maximum benefit for her out of that particular aspect. That said, it was a fabulous camp, and we'd definitely sign up again.

My son loved it. The 1st thing he said was "mommy, it was super duper fun. When can I go again." The teacher also taught him technic to color with crayons so he can avoid the white space spots when he used it. I will sign up for me again.

My 5 year old son liked his class and he wants to go later again.

It was great !!! But problem was that the teacher should slow down their drawings to show how they did.

The age range is too large - a 5 year old does not have the same skill and maturity as a 12 year old which causes interaction and instructional challenges. Consider revising the age range

Informative and engaging camp. The teachers seemed to be experienced in handling questions/comments from all ages in the camp. The kids were kept busy!

I’ve had pretty good experiences in the past with Young Art. This week I signed up with promotional classes for the first hour free. Unfortunately it wasn’t very engaging for my 9 year old. I would say it’s targeted for Kinder or 1st graders . The material that it covered was very basic and the teacher covered some art techniques, and used a program called Magma Studio, but otherwise it was boring for me and my child. We only logged in for 3 out of the 5 classes and since it was so boring, my son had no interest in continuing.

My sons are enjoying the Young Art class. The teachers are excellent.

Creative, affordable and engaging. If you have “maker” children of elementary school age, this is a good option.

My son enjoyed this for the hour. Overall, great ambience that is inspiring - it is not a one-to-one, so the techniques are mostly high level. But being in a mall, it’s convenient to keep kids engaged, while parents can do some quick shopping.

The information on the website stated that the session was supposed to begin at 4:00pm PST, however when my husband tried to login the girls, a message popped up saying that the host and session will begin at 5:00pm. This was unfortunate because having to wait that extra hour caused my kids to get bored and not want to do the activity!

This was a great class. My kiddo is 5 yo and was able to follow along. The instructor Kyle used age appropriate language and was vary patient especially with those kids who just blurted out their thoughts (not even asking questions). I am definitely going to sign my kiddo up for another art class!!!

We attended 4-week 60 min fashion design class. My girls loved 60 minutes fashion design class and look forward to it every week. They were proud of their creations and were super excited to share with family and friends. Thanks you for such a fun and wonderful class!

Even a teacher not showing up for class, long & boring introduction that was not necessary.
Not professional. Really set up for very young children that needs a parent nearby. We won’t sign up again.

I couldn't attend the $1 multiple class because I can get a exact information or guidance how to attend a class. I waited until 2pm on Jul.30 keeping checking my calendar in ActivityHere but nothing happened.

This was enjoyable for my son - we were quite impressed of his drawings. The arts and crafts portion was nice, but could use more time in between each step to allow participants to catch up or try step over if they missed it or made a mistake. There could be better clarification on the supplies list - for instance if you have colored play-doh, you may not need water colors or paint. Overall great use of time!

The program agenda was very well organized, and was the basis for my sons' summer enrollment. After the first two days of completed instruction though, I sought to cancel program enrollment until I reviewed the cancellation terms anew. I believe questions from students should be reserved for the end and recaps be abbreviated for students who join on late, as these delays during the art project hinder the enjoyment process for kids that signed in on time and are following along. Also last week, hang man was played during the last 20 minutes of class. Many students logged off. This appears to be sufficient time to work on another drawing/sketch/art creation, learn about an artist or art tools, etc. I had my sons stay on and draw a related theme picture or do another clay creation, as I did not want them to be disrespectful to the kind-hearted instructors leading the students. Thank you for seeking input on how to streamline engaging instruction to the students!

Was hesistant to join a virtual summer camp, but she really enjoyed it, loved the art projects and is asking for another session which I'm happy to enroll her in. Sharing with my friends for this wonderful day camp!

The instructor is more interested in talking about other things than the actual piece. He speeds through the class where the students ask for him to slow down including my daughter. Class doesn't even begin till 15 minutes into the hour, causing the actual painting time to be cut short.
I am greatly disappointed in Young Art. The class is made up of children all in the age group of 3-4 year olds. My daughter is 13 years old. She was the only one over the age of 5 in the course. I had specifically set filters for classes for her age group and this is what came up. This course was ridiculous for her.
Right at this moment she is sitting on the Waterfall course. The instructor spent a large portion discussing off topic subjects that made the class start late, then in the middle of class he actually stepped away. Overall my daughter found the instructor and the art classes to be frustrating and upsetting. There was no way to keep up with the instructor no matter how many times he was asked to slow down, I even asked him myself. In the end my daughter completed her paintings offline. If the instructor spent less time talking and wasting time in the beginning and leaving class, he would have more time and be able to slow down.
This class should be advertised for the children that actually enroll. Advertising for this course was very incorrect and I feel we were incredibly misled on the age group attending. I signed my daughter up to she could not only paint, but interact with other her own age. Between the little children and the instructors teaching style, the whole thing was rather absurd.
We will not be signing up for more.

My son told me he felt like he wasn't 'taught' how to draw, but more just copying what she was doing. He feels like he wouldn't be able to repeat the experience or understand why and how one goes about drawing.

It was great. Kept kids busy for 3 hours which was very helpful for my work :-)

Great staff and great fun for kids of all ages!! They inspire your little ones and have the patience to get their creative juices flowing - great alternative to playing video games and watching tv!!

We love Young Art. All the artists are so good and very patient with the kids. They take their time showing the steps and never hesitate to stop when kids ask questions. My daughter has been doing it for a year and loves it! she's created a book of all her photos and lets just say it's over 300 painting! We highly recommend Young Art for parties or to keep your child engaged in art.

Young Art is an amazing program! We did drawing, spring break camp and my kid loved it more than any other art program.

My child really enjoys Young Art. Lots of art classes to chose from for only $30/month! We like the price and the great flexibility to pick whatever class that fits the schedule.

We’ve been patrons of YA since the studio opened years ago and continue to have the teachers host our events, whether in-person pre-pandemic or virtual during the pandemic. Our children love the different types of classes offered as well, from painting to clay to STEAM. As a mom, I’ve also hosted Mommy and Me parties with friends and will be hosting a Paint & Sip for a colleague in a week. Thank you again, Young Art!

My daughter has been to Young Arts since she’s was around 2yo, and I’ve seen her painting skill improving the first year. She enjoys going there, with multiple options such as drawing, painting, clay, science projects. Both of my kids like attending young arts while the parents get a break to enjoy shopping or eating meal. Location is so convenient for being inside the mall!

Highly recommended! Young Art’s online classes made the early days of the pandemic bearable for my kids and their cousins. They had a great time taking various drawing and clay modeling classes. All of the courses were available at a reasonable cost, and several courses were offered at no charge or were donation based.

Highly recommended! Young Arts has helped my daughter to develop her creativity, confidence and necessary skills at her very young age. The team is truly passionate about arts and the next generation.

Highly recommend! Both my boy and my girl love Young Art! They are very happy with the art work they made every time. And the price is reasonable, for both in person art class and online Summer camp.

Young Art’s classes and camps are well paced, with good instructors and fun activities. They are also affordable which is great. I love there movement breaks; they are the best I have seen. There can be more kids than I have seen elsewhere — they teachers are friendly and engage all kids, but that might be harder for kids that need lots of individual attention. There can be a longer supply list, but will work with substitute materials— your kid though will find it easier and perhaps more fun with the supplies they recommend on the class sheet.

Great with all ages and will take their time teaching the skills, while making it fun. We will always pick them for my daughter and she has become a great artist, through the classes she has taken!

It was amazing.Our 6 year old daughter enjoyed it and focused on the class 3 entire hours for a 5 days. She looked forward to the class everyday and learned new art techniques. The instructors were very professional and answered any questions kids had.

My daughter has enjoyed the art class but the link zoom did not work twice so she missed the beginning of the class and the next week the whole class. Administrators were not be able to send me the right link every week even though I emailed them and called except for the last class I needed to anticipate. Art class supposed to be a nice activity for my daughter but instead it was stressful as she was not able to enter in zoom due to the wrong link. I don't recommend Young Art for it except if they send the right zoom link before the beginning of the class.

Young art is great program! They have schedule 7 days a week. My kid enjoys the painting very much! $30/month is a deal price for sure!

The instructor must have been good, I couldn’t hear the lesson (my son had headphones on) but he was super engaged and very proud of the realistic cat drawing he finished in an hour. He asked to put it in his keepsake box after we sent photos to the grandparents. He now wants to draw our cats using the techniques he learned! We’ve signed him up for another drawing session (wolf).

We love all the Young Art classes but the half day camps are extra fun!

5 stars!!! My 11 year old daughter LOVED LOVED LOVED this class. Will be going again!!

The age group is too big (6-18). My 7 year old could not keep up with the instructors advanced techniques (he has never learned to sketch first and then erase and does not have the fine motor for light sketching). This is not suitable for young kids who just like to draw. Too advanced. Not what was advertised.

This was our first time trying an online class outside of remote school and my daughter was thrilled. She had so much fun and is excited to do another class soon!

Amazing art class and affordable option for a virtual camp

Our son enjoyed every single day of the camp. The content was rich and very popular. 2.5 hour per day with drawings, art crafts ... gave my kid so much joys. We definitely come back for more art class.

My son had a great time modeling one of his favorite video game characters. The teacher was patient and attentive to everyone in the class, which has a wide age range of students. She also played festive music in the background which set up a pleasing learning atmosphere.

We will definitely be signing up for more classes!!

The first class we were not able to sign in until 10 minutes after class. Evidently others had the same problem and class started 30 minutes late. The second class we signed up for was so difficult and frustrating for my son, he just signed off. Not a good first experience.

The drawing class was amazing. My son enjoy it so much. Instructor was patient and thoughtful.

My five year old daughter enjoyed all of the activities. Her favorites were the origami and drawing exercises. The teachers were great and very patient with the kids.

A fun class that our daughter really enjoyed. She learned new skills, as well as appreciated the engaging teacher.

I highly recommend!! Great art project ideas that are also engaging and developmentally appropriate! To improve the class, here are some of my feedback:

As a working parent, though, I was hoping that all of the art activities were pretty independent. However, the culinary art activities were not able to do be done independently. Therefore, we were not able to do any of these activities. Also, it was a lot of wait time for kids to gather their materials or asking what to do if they don't have the specific materials. Parents - please get all the materials ready so the lesson time is maximized for the rest of the kids. And instructors, please don't spend too much time waiting for everyone to get their materials. You can just ask them to just substitute with paper and pencil or materials that are easy to access for them.

The camp was very good. The teachers were detail oriented and answered all the kids questions patiently though the ratio was high. Great camp for the price and definitely worth the money. You can even manage the camp with your win supplies.

We attended one week of summer camp, my son loved it! The activities were fun and range from art to science, even cooking.

My kiddos loved this class. It’s really hard finding something for a 1st grader and 5th grade to do together but this was a WIN!

This camp was packed with fun and engaging activities. The transitions between activities were seamless and help my child to stay focused on the camp activities. She enjoyed every activity and always asked what was happening the next day on the activity list. She always looked forward to the next day. The teachers allowed her to lead and share her discoveries, ideas, and creations. It was such a well-done and well-thought out virtual experience.

My son enjoyed this class very much. The teacher was wonderful with the children and the step by step instruction was very well done and easy for my son to follow. He was very proud of his artwork and is looking forward to taking more classes with Young Art.

My little boy really enjoyed camp and we will likely participate again in the future. Most of the projects were easy to follow along to, but he did require help for each activity. Most of the activity teachers are great, but a few during the week really needed to work on simplifying their instructions. For example, the butterfly puppet teacher gave very confusing instructions when teaching the class how to make a big straw and a little straw (basically rolled up paper straws). If she had just demonstrated the task first rather than try to verbally explain, it would have gone much more smoothly. Also, activity teachers need to understand that many kids in the young group do not know how to do certain things - like tie knots. The teachers need to know how to clearly explain this to the group who have different levels of ability. My only other constrictive critique would be that Activity Hero limit the number of kids per session. Anything more than 20 kids is too much. A lot of time is spent answering questions and when you have over 30 kids each trying to ask a question, it's too much. Smaller groups would be better. Ideally 20 or less.

My son who is almost 6 years enjoyed the class this week in July. There are 3 activities and it is hard to hold the kids attention for that long (2.5hrs). He lost interest by the the third activity but, the teachers were very patient with kids.

My 6 year old daughter loved it. She was engaged for three hours and the variety of activities offered were fun! As a parent, I appreciated the variations offered when materials were not available.

My daughter enjoyed the Young Art Camp. The most important part is that teachers are patient and gave enough time for children to draw, paint, and make clay structures. Teachers also spotlighted each child to showcase their work and express their thoughts. My daughter loved the science experiments and culinary activities. The best of the camp is the last day's inventions activity. My child felt happy and proud of herself in creating a paper roll telescope. I want to thank all the teachers who put in their efforts for creating and implementing the young art curriculum.

My son was skeptical at first because he is so shy but all in all he very much enjoyed the class.

My two daughters loved this class... they were very proud of their finished products.

My 6 yo really enjoyed the entire session. It was a bit chaotic when we were making the slime because we didnt know the portions, measurements of ingredients in advance. However all turned out well and he cant wait for tomorrow, more fun!

My daughter loved the cooking activity! She liked when she was allowed to share her artwork! It made her feel like part of a group instead of just watching a video.

This was a great program for my 5 year old. The teacher gave the kids plenty of time, reviewed instructions and repeated steps as needed. There were about 80 kids in the class but everyone was very respectfully muted so if a child did have something to say they could be unmuted for just a short time. The class had a moderator manage the class and a teacher teaching. It was really well put together. Every night before the class parents should put together the materials required for the next day. We had most supplies at home and ordered the few we didn’t have online. We didn’t buy the young art Kit because we had most of those items already and just needed 2-3 of the items.

As parents we were lightly involved in helping our son (especially for the cooking projects). Otherwise, I thought he could do the activities himself. What I especially liked was that he continued doing the activities the rest of the day (and working with the materials) rather than playing computer video games (which is what he would do before.) My son’s camp had a space and Star Wars theme so the camp gave us a wonderful foundation for educating him about space for the rest of the week (we had his clay planets He made the first day on our table to talk about) and we watched Star Wars as a family.

All around a really good, affordable camp for quarantine!

The class offered a variety of activities; Art, Clay, Legos and Culinary! My 7 year old enjoyed the first week of camp. Looking forward to attending more.

Kiddo loved it but I wish that there wasn’t so much parent involvement. I need the time to work but I’m in the kitchen helping my 6 YO with the messy crafts or cooking so that was a little disappointing.

Overall my daughter really enjoyed the class. We finished our first week and will start our 2nd wk on Monday. My only complaint was that we were looking forward to making chocolate chip cookies, but the list they sent us was completely wrong. All my prep ahead of time was a waste and we ended up scrapping it and logging off. I’m not a huge fan of the culinary stuff but everything else has been great.

I loved how patient, encouraging, and how she didn’t let her drawing hand get in the way of the camera, so the kids could see how she was drawing. She was by far the best instructor my child has had. I also like that when she encouraged the kids she said something different about their picture to make them feel unique. Will for sure be taking more classes, thanks for the wonderful experience. It helps to have some social interaction during this time. Awesome class! On a side note my child has continued to practice the drawing on her own. :)

My daughter loves the camp and classes. The art, clay, crafts and culinary activities are all a lot of fun. The instructors are very understanding, engaging and helpful with the kids. Depending on the age of the child it does require some parental assistance like turning on the oven or stove and parents will need to gather the materials in advance to make it easier for the child. Otherwise an excellent virtual camp and a great value too!

This was a GREAT ONLINE CAMP for my 8-year-old boy. He is drawing a Pokemon picture as I write this review. He's very proud of his work and the teachers made it fun and easy to follow along. He's made playdough and rice krispy treats and more. The pacing is perfect for him.

The one thing to know is that some of the projects require parent supervision/ participation. I had to assemble materials throughout the day and I did the recipes with him. It's been fun to do this with him, guided by the counselors.

The Counselors speak well to the kids, engaging with them. It's really sweet. The kids are around the country and seem to be mostly engaged. It's perfect for us. (Though... my kid wondered why they play music from Moana and Frozen, not his favorite soundtracks.)

I really recommend this for a half-day camp.

My 5 yo is liking the activities a lot, teachers are very patient and wait for everyone to complete a step before moving forward. What I didn't like is the rice Krispies required use of stove which is definitely not for 5-8 yo. You should switch this up with no stove cooking, probably a sandwich or something.
