Join Us For a Painting Lesson!

Learn how to paint with step-by-step guidance from a live art instructor! The class will begin with basic shape recognition during the sketching phase and will then move basic painting techniques, blending , highlighting and shadowing. Students will learn about foreground and backgrounds usage and how to incorporate their own style into their paintings.

All lessons are held virtually in real time online in California Pacific Standard Time.

What you will need for this series:

  • paper
  • pencil
  • eraser
  • coloring tools of your choice (watercolor pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, crayons, markers, etc)
  • water cup, paintbrushes, drying towel if using paint
  • a phone or computer with Zoom (zoom.us) installed to attend class

Rules for joining the class:

  • Please keep your microphone muted
  • Raise your hand if you have a question
  • Show your art up close to the camera when asked to share progress
  • No recording the lesson out of respect to other students
