Overview

Do you want to make your own computer games guided by game and coding fanatics?  We'll use Scratch 3.0, the latest software featuring the world's most popular beginning programming language.

Our teachers show you step-by-step how to make a variety of games, including a Sharks & Minnows game and a Bullseye Champion game. We’ll be covering important Scratch concepts like costumes, sounds, backdrops, event and clone management.

By the end of the week, you’ll not only have learned enough to build your own Scratch games, but you will also have learned important programming concepts such as variables, conditional statements,  and loops that will help you with any future coding you do!

Requirements:  Get a free online Scratch account online before camp.  PC, Mac or Chromebook Computer.  No ipads, unless it has a keyboard attached.

Our son had the best time! He was a little nervous when we dropped him off the first day but was so excited when we picked him up and looked forward to each day of the camp.

My son loved it, but it seems to be more loosely organized than I was expecting.

My 6yo had a great time at this camp. Would definitely consider doing it again.
