About
TechKnowHow Camps & Classes

Join us for engaging and educational Fall online tech programs for ages 5-16 featuring LEGO® Engineering and Design, Minecraft Adventures, and Coding instruction with Scratch and Python.  Our classes feature small group size (usually 4-8 students) and an experienced tech teacher who wants to help your child or teen grow their STEM skills.

We have been serving the SF Bay Area community for over 26 years, and are now excited to work with kids online from throughout the US and Canada.  We received awards for Best Tech Camp and Best LEGO Camp for 2020 from parents polls in Bay Area Parent and Parent's Press publications.

We combine our education experience with caring teachers and engaging tech to teach valuable, real-world skills.

Special programs this Fall include:

  • Online afterschool sessions
  • Online Thanksgiving Break camps
  • Online and In-person Winter Break camps (in-person dependent on COVID situation)
  • Online Minecraft and LEGO Birthday Parties

Our week-long Summer LEGO Robotics and Coding Camps feature unique STEM projects with LEGO elements, Minecraft adventures, Python and Java Coding, and a Girls STEAM camp.  TechKnowHow Computer and LEGO Camps are offered at 20 San Francisco Bay Area locations which cover SF, the Peninsula, South Bay and East Bay.

Our Staff

Each TechKnowHow® teacher is trained in both the specific course content which they will teach, as well as in general student interaction and camp management.  Many are classroom teachers, while others are currently in college or recently graduated with a computer science or engineering focus.  Although our staff have varied backgrounds, all share an interest and ability in teaching technology skills to students.

All staff are fingerprinted and undergo a criminal history background check through the Department of Justice.

In-person camps feature a teaching team of a lead instructor and one assistant instructor. Lead instructors are often school teachers during the year. They are joined by instructors who are typically college students, working towards an education or computer science degree.

Our son had the best time! He was a little nervous when we dropped him off the first day but was so excited when we picked him up and looked forward to each day of the camp.

Hi, if your child has never taken one of your classes but loves Minecraft, can they attend the intermediate camp? (Summer Intermediate Minecraft Camp) -
asked on Feb 16, 2022
Feb 16, 2022 - Bob Mancini
Hi! Yes, as long as your child is comfortable using Minecraft -- knows how to build and move around in the game, and is interested in learning how to create redstone circuits and use command blocks -- he will do fine in the Intermediate Minecraft camp. There will be some coding in the command block projects, but the teacher guides the students and as long as the student is comfortable with a keyboard, they will be successful. -
