Do you want to make your own computer games guided by game and coding fanatics? We'll use Scratch 3.0, the world's most popular beginning programming language, to design three fun games to play.
Our teachers show you step-by-step how to make the games and the computer science skills used. Games include Feeding Frenzy, an underwater adventure, Target Practice, a castle archery skills game, and Dungeon Escape. We’ll be covering important Scratch concepts like event and clone management, costumes, sounds, and backdrops.
By the end of the week, you’ll have learned enough to build your own Scratch games and all about programming concepts such as variables, conditional statements, and loops which will help you with any future coding you do!
Requirements: Get a free online Scratch account online before camp. PC, Mac or Chromebook Computer. No ipads, unless it has a keyboard attached.
