Overview

A workshop environment where girls can explore, tinker, dream, and create in a place of their own. Led by female instructors, girls in this Tech Camp will build motor-powered LEGO animals and vehicles, and create three computer games using Scratch code blocks.  The LEGO technic projects include a winged bird, speedy dragon, rambling gorilla, ultralight plane, and Nessie, the water serpent.  The games teach students the fundamentals of coding - from using loops and variables to creating conditionals for events - all in an easy-to-use block format.  Students take home their games to play on a computer.

TechKnowHow has been offering tech programs to students in the Bay Area for 30 years, and has received Best Tech Camp awards from parents through Bay Area Parent Magazine for many consecutive years.

Our son had the best time! He was a little nervous when we dropped him off the first day but was so excited when we picked him up and looked forward to each day of the camp.

My son loved it, but it seems to be more loosely organized than I was expecting.

My 6yo had a great time at this camp. Would definitely consider doing it again.
