Orlando Math Circle

I am so grateful to the OMC team. Ever since my son started the program, he has learned so much more than he would have at school. He finally feels challenged and encouraged to learn and grow. He really loves being part of a group of peers that have a passion for math just as he does. I encourage every parent to get their kids involved in OMC, they will love it!

Orlando Math Circle is an excellent organization for kids to learn math in a fun way.

The online classes with Ms. Meg are wonderful. Orlando Math Circle also hosts a variety of in person events with lots of fun exercises.

I am tremendously grateful for Orlando Math Circle and the work they do. In addition to building a strong math foundation, my 4th grader has also benefited from the social ties and increased confidence in her communication skills. A true asset to our educational community!

OMC has been such an immersive and fulfilling experience. They have taught me to truly enjoy learning beyond the classroom. I have been able to attend their classes, events, and celebrations that encourage more kids to love math. I am so grateful to have found them over 5 years ago!

Great program! My son has been taking classes at Orlando Math Circle for the past four years online. It’s a great combination of problem solving and other fun games and puzzles.

Orlando Math circle is a great organization for all. Competitions, volunteering opportunities, summer camps, classes, games they have it all. They cater to all children in our community and has helped many to continue their love for math or inspire new kids who discovered math is not scary.

Orlando Math Circle has been pivotal in my children's education. Both our son and our daughter grew their confidence at this amazing organization and evolved to counselors and volunteers for years. Through math circle our children had the privilege to help hundreds of disadvantaged children and started an OMC club at Lake Highland Preparatory School in Florida. Our kids' and their OMC students enthusiasm for math flourished through OMC. Our son and daughter went to Caltech and UC Berkeley and many of the kids that grew up in OMC went to top schools. This is the most amazing organization we have ever had Through privilege to be part of, led by Margarita Azbel.

I have three sons who we’re members of OMC in the past four years. Without any reservation I can say that they benefitted tremendously. They took lessons (with small class size) participated in national competitions and events. Throughout this process they learned how to think outside the box and to be patient when tackling difficult questions. More important for us as parents, they developed a love for Math that we think they will carry for the rest of their lives. I would recommend this organization to any student without any hesitation.

I have been volunteering with Orlando math circle for quite some time and am impressed by the way they handle things. I would recommend this to people of all ages.

My 7- year-old is in the Orlando math circle. It is superb and my daughter really loved it. The instructors are great, as well as the volunteers and the director Margarita.

Orlando Math Circle is an outstanding organization that shows kids the beauty and power of math through fun activities and community involvement.

Highly recommend! OMC has been invaluable in teaching our child how to think deeply and creatively about math. She enjoys working through the fun resources provided on her own, but also has benefited from being stretched beyond her comfort zone and working collaboratively with other children in small groups. The resources are both relaxed and rigorous - relaxed because instead of doing repetitive sets on a worksheet she can focus on a few problem sets, but also rigorous because she is provided the opportunity to learn a concept in multiple ways and to be able to explain her thought process. OMC has taught her persistence and patience which we see manifest in other areas of her life.

Volunteering with this organization has helped me regain my love for teaching children! I love showing people just how creative math can be!

Orlando Math Circle has been a great resource for my daughter to confirm her passion in math as a learner and as a teacher. It improved her confidence and allowed her to realize how much she enjoys helping other kids, especially girls.

Math Modeling was an amazing class. Students worked in small groups with postdoctoral researchers who gave  them real world problems to learn with. At the end of the one week intensive class each group wrote a paper that presented their model and research to answer the question they chose. Each group received feedback on their answers that was very helpful.  My daughter is now building on skills she learned in the class with independent research she is doing even though she didn’t participate in this year’s High School Math Modeling Contest. This class is great preparation if students are interested in this contest which is now open to middle schoolers also or if they are just interested in finding out how to apply math to interesting real world problems.

OMC had fun and engaging activities. In addition to that, their problems and competitions are challenging and interesting.

Orlando Math Circle is a great program for Math enthusiasts especially in the Orlando area where not many Math programs are easily available to kids.

So lucky we found this awesome group. Both my daughter and son have benefitted so much to have a community of passionate math students and educators to engage with on a regular basis. Sky is the limit with the learning and they make it especially fun and inclusive for girls

My kid really enjoys classes and math competitions hosted by OMC. They do a great job of helping him meet his goals!
