It was very good. The rating of the players was very far apart, and sometimes one of the lower-rated players would go against the very high-rated players but still, it was a great experience.

My 8 years old son loves this class. The coach is very patient and very good at what he does. My son learned a lot and enjoys every minute of it. I even signed up my younger son for the next session.

Questions & Answers
How does Single Day option work for the Summer Camp? Are students assigned according to their levels? What's the summer camp class size? Thanks! (Online Chess Camp) -

Hi, the students will be divided based on their levels. Normally, we have 3-4 groups for each session. The coaches will do an assessment on the first day of the student to make sure they will be in the right group. We are using the Zoom breakout rooms, which allows us to move the students among each of the rooms in any case the kids are ready to be "promoted" to the next level. We initially set the limit for each class to 8 participants only. But there are instances where a student will do a makeup class, or gets promoted to the next level in the middle of the season. In this case, we may extend up to 10 participants. For the Summer Camp, whether you sign up for single days or multiple sessions a week, it will not affect the learning process of the students. The coaches work closely with the kids to determine the levels and craft the lesson plans from there. We will also add more coaches as needed if the levels of the students are far from each other. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. -
I just registered my kids for one class that is two days later. When will I receive the zoom id? (KNIGHTS - Online Group Class (M,W,F)) -

Hi, thanks for signing up! We have sent the link to the email address on file. If you have not received it yet, please kindly check the spam folder as well. The links are usually sent out a day before the session, but we will be adding the links directly to the programs (great new ActivityHero feature!) so moving forward it is automated and you'll be able to receive it right away. -

Hi, here is link to join the group: https://lichess.org/team/new-york-chess-academy. However, we have unfortunately discontinued the monthly practice tournament due to low participation rate. -
I would like to sign up for the next set of adult chess classes. As of now it seems I could only do this session every other week and that doesn't seem like a good idea. Thank you for doing this. i have been looking for these classes for a long time. Margo Sinclair (Adult Chess Classes for Beginners)
