Looking for a summer adventure for your kids right here in Marin? Mountain Camp Marin provides the closeness and connection of a sleepaway camp, packaged in a local, day camp model. Our K–8 camp lets campers choose their activities (from archery, to performing arts, to LARPing) and is focused on fostering community and friendship.
Each week has a different theme and includes a dress-up day on Wacky Wednesday when counselors and campers alike go all-out! On Wacky Wednesday we transform the afternoon activity sessions and offer a variety of new activities to mix things up and allow our campers to try something new such as rock wall climbing, giant slip n’ slide, spa or water rockets.
Our focus is promoting social-emotional learning in a tech-free environment. In partnership with Stanford's Graduate School of Education, we've pioneered industry shaping research on the benefits of quality camp programming.
Mountain Camp Marin is hosted at the Mark Day School in San Rafael, CA. We offer one-week sessions from June 16–August 1st. Camp runs from 9:00am–4:15pm, with add-ons of extended care and lunch offerings available.
Mountain Camp Marin has been such a great experience for our boys, Carter and Jack! Every day they came home with huge smiles, fun stories, and so much excitement about what they did. The staff is awesome—so friendly and enthusiastic, and you can tell they really care about the kids.
Carter and Jack loved all the activities and especially got into the structured badge award system. It was such a fun way to keep them motivated and proud of what they accomplished. They made new friends, learned a bunch of new skills, and spent their days outside in the most beautiful setting.
