About
Mountain Camp Marin
Looking for a summer adventure for your kids right here in Marin? Mountain Camp Marin provides the closeness and connection of a sleepaway camp, packaged in a local, day camp model. Our K–8 camp lets campers choose their activities (from swimming, to archery, to performing arts, to LARPing) and is focused on fostering community and friendship. Each week has a different theme and includes a dress-up day on Wacky Wednesday when counselors and campers alike go all-out!
Our focus is promoting social-emotional learning in a tech-free environment. In partnership with Stanford's Graduate School of Education, we've pioneered industry shaping research on the benefits of quality camp programming. Learn more about this research on our website!
Mountain Camp Marin is hosted at the Mark Day School in San Rafael, CA. We offer one-week sessions from June 16–August 1st. Camp runs from 9am–4:15pm, with add-ons of extended care and lunch offerings available.

As a counselor at MCM, I felt constantly supported by the leadership team, the Mark Day community, and my fellow counselors. I genuinely enjoyed going to work and loved the energy the campers brought on a daily basis. I can't wait to return this year for another memorable summer!

My kids love Mountain Camp Marin!! There are so many fun activities to choose from for their two very different interests. They built new relationships and learned fun games and songs. They came home happy and fullfilled daily last summer!! Insisting to extend for an additional week - which we did :) Looking forward to this summer ☀️
