About
Mathletes

Our programs focus on creative problem solving in Mathematics. Students will tackle fun problems and participate in both formal and informal math competitions. Work is started in class, and often continued at home. Our online curriculum contains problem sets that vary by theme and difficulty. Our ultimate goal is to help students become tenacious problem solvers who love math.

If you like puzzles, patterns, and problem solving, give us a try!

My philosophy: Your brain is like a muscle - you have to use it to make it stronger. Mathletes will be solving challenging problems every week in practice.

Goals:

• To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for Mathematics

• To introduce important Mathematical concepts

• To learn to work effectively on a small team

Our Staff

If my daughter is already strong at 3rd grade math, will this be the right level (MiT Gr2-3) or do you recommend a different one? Do you adjust levels once a child starts if it is too hard or easy? Thanks (Mathletes-in-Training (MiT) Online - Gr. 2-3) -

I suggest we start with MiT. Being strong in school based math and being strong in creative problem solving are not quite the same thing. And there is some very challenging material in the MiT program. If she finds it easy, we can always look to switch her to Mathletes. Each year we have a few students who are ready for the next level. We are flexible and want to find a good fit for her. -
