My girls are enrolled in the upcoming First Aid Class on 7/19. And we wanted to get some clarification on what is in or required to purchase for the First Aid Workshop Kit. One of my other GS moms enrolled her daughter in the Brownie First Aid class and since the link was not sent until the night before was caught off guard that certain supplies like a first aid kit etc. were needed for the class. Thanks for your question. We send the link the day before the workshop because we have had problems with parents forwarding the meeting link to people that are not registered. Sending the link close to the workshop date has minimized this problem. There is no kit for the First Aid Girl Scout Workshop on July 19th. The Brownie badge requires a first aid kit to be put together, and we supplied the materials for that requirement. I am sorry your friend did not see the details in the workshop description or the shipping prompt during registration. The only thing your girls will need is a pencil and paper, and they will be challenged to search the room they are in to find something they can use as a splint, but that is meant to be last-minute to simulate an emergency situation. For this workshop, the girls have three engineering projects to complete. They will not be able to finish them all during our 1-hour online workshop, but we will get them started with all of them and they can finish once the workshop is over. As long as they share what they did with you, they will have completed requirements 1 and 2, and no not have to do anything with their Troop unless it is required by your Troop Leader. The Take Action requirement would have to be done separately. Hope this helps! -
