Summer Fencing Camp for Beginners

I am beyond thrilled to share my experience with the Academy of Fencing Masters (AFM) and wholeheartedly recommend them as one of the Best Kids Programs in Sports for 2022-2023. My daughter has been attending their fencing camps, lessons, and classes, and I cannot emphasize enough how much she has enjoyed and benefited from her time there.

From day one, the knowledgeable and dedicated coaching staff at AFM has provided exceptional instruction in the art of fencing. They truly understand how to cater to children's unique needs and learning styles, making each class engaging and enjoyable. If your child has shown any interest in fencing (playing with swords from Legoland, watching a cool movie) bring them here - you will not be disappointed! The whole AFM team, from the owners to the coaches, instructors and even the other parents are very welcoming and knowledgeable about what it takes and how to make fencing a true joy and positive force in your kid's life (and yours too). We've had a fencer with them for quite a few years and it has been a great journey.

The CEO, Irina, is very nice. She treats each fencer as a family member. The club has so many kids so you can find matching fencers no matter which level you are.

AFM is an exceptional fencing club that I highly recommend. My daughters attended their summer camp and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Not only did they make good friends, but they also learned valuable lessons in sportsmanship from both their coach and peers.

I am particularly impressed with the club's introduction lesson, which is an excellent opportunity for newcomers to learn about the sport and experience the supportive environment that AFM provides. We initially started with fencing camp, then attended long term beginner class, then added private class. AFM is definitely the best epee school in Bay Area!

This is the first time my son joined fencing camp. The coach is very professional so my son really learned a lot of basics related to fencing. My son loved this class very much and he really have tons of fun.
