About
San Francisco Rock Project

The San Francisco Rock Project is a nonprofit school of rock for kids ages 7–17. All year round, students have one-on-one lessons on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or vocals, and/or participate in group rehearsals for final shows at a local venue at the end of each season. Our week-long summer camps are open to new and returning students and offer a comprehensive experience.

All skill levels are welcome, and our outstanding teachers foster expression, development, discipline, and fun. Previous rock camps have performed songs from Black Sabbath, the Beatles, Radiohead, the White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, the Runaways, Nirvana, the Ramones, Journey, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and much more!

Our camper had an amazing first time experience at Rock Project camp! He loved getting to learn the different instruments and getting to be part of choosing what songs to perform at the show at the end of camp. We appreciated how the staff incorporated everyone's varying levels of skill and taste in music, and their generous support as the band's show came together!

Both of my kids were "founding members" of SF Rock Project. One is a now a profesional musician in NYC with a major label recording contract. The other is a lawyer but has a drum kit in his apartment which gets good use to this day. He played drums throughout high school, college, and played in a band while in law school. Rock Project laid the foundation for a lifetime of music appreciation, enjoyment, and a long-time friendships.

Hello! Apologies for the confusion. It is 800 for the one week performance camp. Camp hours are 12-5 M-F + there is a liver performance of the songs we learn on the Friday, which starts at 6 and ends at approximately 7pm. We hope to see you! -
