About
Wheel Kids Bicycle Club, Inc.

Wheel Kids is an adventure and exploration bike camp that uses bicycling as a means of transportation, personal development and fun.

With locations in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Palo Alto we provide elementary and middle school-aged children the opportunity to build confidence and self-esteem, improve their cycling skills and physical fitness, investigate and learn from their environment, engage in off-the-beaten-path activities, and enjoy themselves in an unstructured but supportive camp setting.

Children participate in daily bike rides, cycling skills clinics, bicycle maintenance instruction, off-the-bike adventures and activities, and special events, visitors and tours.

We also provide special programs for kids in the K - 3rd grade range who haven't learned to ride on their own yet. During summer and holiday camps, this program is Two Wheelers Club, a program that teaches aspiring cyclists to ride independently - free of training wheels! We also provide learn-to-ride and skills-improvement lessons and classes.

Our list of activities includes summer camps, holiday camps, riding classes and lessons (including our special Middle School Bike Skills program), family rides, and school-based instruction programs.

Our Staff

We call our instructors Coaches – because, like a bicycling team’s coaches, our staff do anything they can to make sure kids have a great time, are kept safe during all of our events, and reach their full potential no matter what program we’re providing. All coaches are background checked and have first aid and CPR certification.

My 6 year old daughter was not able to ride without training wheels prior to starting summer camp, and was pretty nervous to try. But after 2 hours on the first day… she was riding on her own. This program is so awesome and she gained so much confidence. Thank you, Coach Taylor!

Hello, The transportation fee is for the field trip that we hope to take each week if the county guidelines allow for it. If we cannot take them after all, the fee will be refunded to you. Thanks! -
It says "One parent or guardian MUST register, observe, and ride along with the participating student." Does that mean I need to pay $220 ($110 for the child and $100 for the parent) for one child to participate? Thanks. (Middle School Bike Skills - PA)
