Overview

For children entering Kindergarten-4th grade.

July 14-18: Textiles and Sewing - This session's projects will focus on textile arts like embroidery and sewing, making our own pouches with felt, and making our own dolls/stuffies. Our approach to facilitating art projects is open-ended and we'll be learning sewing skills in a fun and supportive way, meeting each camper where they are at. No prior sewing experience is necessary! Campers will have plenty of opportunities to bring their own creative spin to each project regardless of their age and skill.

July 21-25: Flora & FaunaJoin us for a week of artmaking inspired by the wonders of the plant and animal world! We will create many nature-inspire projects including leaf and floral pressing and printing, animal shadow boxes, creature dress-up wings and masks. Projects will all be new, not repeating from past camp sessions.

Outside of project time, the day will include free play activities like reading books, blocks, toys and games, dramatic play, and more art experiences like beading and drawing.

July 28-Aug 1: Potions, Playdough and Slime -

Dive into the world where art, science and sensory play combine! This week we will follow different recipes to create slime, “magic” fizzing  potions, playdough and more. Campers will get their hands messy and enjoy the process along the way, while leaving with specials jars and bottles of their creations to take home.

Outside of project time, the day will include free play activities like reading books, blocks, toys and games, dramatic play, and more art experiences like beading and drawing.

*Please note that camp will be hosted at SF Schoolhouse for summer 2025 (735 Fell Street, 94117). We will be using a large beautiful classroom space for indoor activities, with lots of time to play on their outdoor playground in the morning and after lunch.

All of our camps have a ratio of 1 teachers to 7 campers, to allow for lots of teacher support and small group interaction. All of our teachers have 10+ years of teaching experience.

Camp runs from 9:00-1:30. Late Care is available during this session from 1:30-3:30 M-F for $175.

My daughter (5 at the time of camp and going into 1st grade) had a wonderful time with Michelle and the other girls. She did not know any other girls at camp at the start of the week, but by the last day they were hugging one another goodbye. She enjoyed the warm, calm atmosphere and the chance for open-ended activities as well as outdoor play with a small group. It was definitely a nice respite from some of the bigger camps she attended. As parents, we appreciated Michelle's daily email updates and photos about the day's activities.
