The Circus Academy of Tucson

The Circus Academy of Tucson's mission is to provide a well-rounded and diverse education in circus and theater arts to youth and adults in the Tucson community. Our goal is to offer circus to ALL in the community who wish to participate regardless of age, body type, socio economic status, race, religion, culture, physical or developmental challenges, gender identity, or any other perceived barrier to participation. If you are interested in circus, let us know! We want to work with you to make circus work for you! We believe that everyone should have the chance to experience the benefits of circus and that everyone can benefit from circus arts.

We strive to offer a well-rounded education that goes beyond circus arts. We want to be part of our student's over all educational life in becoming prepared adults and responsible community members. This includes offering community service opportunities and lessons on setting and completing goals, working as part of a team and exploring the self to develop awareness  and progress as human beings.

Our Staff

All of our staff are both highly trained in circus skills and come from an education back ground. Most are teachers or studying education in addition to their work at The Circus Academy. We keep at least one if not many CPR certified persons on site at all times. We also look for teachers who are graduates of youth circus programs themselves!

Circus academy is awesome! All the instructors are qualified, supportive, upbeat, friendly and know their craft. I keep going back because of all that and the fact that the facility is big enough to accommodate enough people, so I have plenty of room to practice. Great environment!

My 2 year old (soon to be 3) is super excited every Saturday to go to Circus school! She loves all the activities and it's great to watch her have so much fun while gaining so many different skills. She especially loves the silks hammock and animal walks! I really like this as an alternative to the overly aggressive additudes I've seen in some of the more "traditional" sports like gymnastics and ballet. I love how happy everyone is here!
