Overview

SCIENCE OF THE SEA takes you on an exploration of the of the ocean, including its physical characteristics (oceanography)and the incredible life forms within it (marine biology). Field trips will take you to beaches, coral reefs, rugged coastlines, to learn about the near-shore environment through hands-on activities. Visit with scientists, engineers, fishers, and conservationists that are working to preserve and protect these vital ecosystems and learn what is being done to develop solutions that are sustainable and protect our natural resources.

I went to Land and Sea camp in July 2024 and it was amazing! I absolutely loved my time there and would definitely go back. I learned so much about Hawaii and science, and the counselors and people there were awesome too. I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone who is interested in science - we talked and learned about biology, climate change, geology, volcanology, and more! This camp was one of the best weeks of my life!

My daughter attended the Land & Sea Camp on July 1-10, 2024. She had such an amazing time. The mixture of science, conservation, physical activity, and group dynamics were perfect for her. She is getting a full credit for the course through her online school, so she is excited about that as well. She definitely wants to attend again!
