In the third week of camp, campers will explore the fascinating habitats of Georgia, focusing on threatened species like loggerhead turtles, North Atlantic right whales, and shorebirds. Through engaging lessons, they’ll learn about conservation efforts and practical ways they can help protect these species.

Highlights of the week include:

  • A visit from Atlanta Zoo animals and experts, offering an up-close experience to learn about wildlife.
  • Using the Engineering Design Process to create a prototype of a community where humans and animal habitats can coexist harmoniously.
  • Hands-on activities to explore biodiversity, ecology, sustainability, and environmental stewardship, guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
