This is the in-person summer camp in Bothell
This is a popular combination camp in association with Snapology.
In this full day camp, we are bringing together Minecraft Modding in the morning and Snapology Combat Robots in the afternoon
About Snapology Combat Robots
Do you think you can build the strongest and most agile robot? Can your robot win a head-to-head combat mission? Come learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using LEGO® bricks and then apply that knowledge to build a robot for friendly competition. You'll have a blast as you play robot football and complete the hoop challenge in this fun robotics program.Practice with following detailed, step-by-step instructions Use new information to influence building or programming choices
- Explore the scientific method and engineering design process
- Develop appropriate strategies for logical problem solving
- Learn physics and engineering principles to build a strong structure
- Gear ratio, torque, statics
About Minecraft Modding
In this creative camp, students will create their own custom mods (Minecraft character models) and then use artificial intelligence programming to teach the mobs how to react in interesting situations.
Prerequisites
- Windows or MacOS Laptop
- Minecraft Java Edition
- Active Minecraft Account
What to bring

Lunch Break
There will be a 30 minute lunch break. Please pack your camper with a nut free lunch, snacks and water bottle each day.
Hours of instruction
Hours of instruction will be from 9 AM until 3 PM Monday through Friday with two 15 min breaks throughout the day. Staggered pickup will start at 3PM. If you require aftercare, please contact us for assistance.

My 10yr old had a lot of fun in this camp. The Minecraft and Lego combo is just great. He's usually very reserved, but in this camp he made some friends too. Will send him again this year to the robotics camp
