How will Covid concerns be handled? Will there be social distancing in the form of reduced classes and mandatory masks?
asked on Jun 12, 2020
Jun 13, 2020 - Eric Hess
We are following all of the County guidelines to keep everyone as safe as possible. We will be enforcing social distancing, as well as requiring masks at all times indoors. We've set up additional work space dedicated to students to give them more room to socially distance. We've limited camp enrollments as well, and will only be offering a single camp each week (typically we have 2-3 camps in various subjects running concurrently). The health and safety of our students and staff is our #1 concern, and we especially want to make sure students have a safe experience here. -

Thank you for your interest,We are working hard on getting the classes online. We have a schedule, but still need to finalize the write ups and photos. Target is to have all set by end of this coming week: There will be a mix of camps from Textiles, robotics, electronics, woodworking and laser/3d printing for a variety of ages. The week of July 4th will be day camps with a different theme each day - those are posted for sign ups already. -

Can you confirm the camp hours are 9:30am-12:00pm? $450 for a 4-day, 10-hour (total) camp seems like an error. Thanks. (MakerSPACE!)

Hello - Usually when someone has a high level of proficiency in a machine we can provide a check-off. To receive a check-off you will need to demonstrate the machine's full set-up and tear-down procedure with no help from an instructor. -

Hi! Thank you for your interest in our Soldering Project classes. The maximum number of students for these classes, is three, plus one instructor (me), for a total of four people in the room. Masks are required, and we sanitize our hands during the 10 minute break, as well as after the class. We cannot socially distance, as it is often necessary for me to physically interact with the students' projects or tools, while the students are working with them. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thanks again, Alec Aizner Technical Instructor -
