About
Hiller Aviation Museum

The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California hosts a collection of some 50 different historic aircraft.  Public and private museum admission, and programs for BSA Scouts and Girl Scouts, are offered periodically throughout the year.  Children ages 5-12 may also participate in Aviation Camp, held seasonally throughout the year.

Our Staff

Hiller Aviation Museum Education staff members are aviation education professionals with experience teaching hands-on science lessons.  All staff members complete Livescan fingerprint checks prior to beginning employment.

My son had a fantastic time at the Hiller Aviation Museum taking the Aviation Merit Badge class! He especially enjoyed doing a pre flight check on the Albatross that is on display in the museum as well as using the flight simulator. My husband took advantage of the opportunity to go through the museum while our son was in his class. I think he has been to the museum about 5 times and just loves it!

Here is the description: Juniors take flight with a 90-minute Zoom session to earn the Junior Pilots fun patch! Explore airplanes and helicopters in the Hiller Aviation Museum’s collection via a live Zoom presentation, identify parts of an airplane, explore the engineering design cycle with paper helicopters and more! A “Junior Pilots” fun patch and a special VIP admissions pass valid for admission for any 2 adults or children at the Hiller Aviation Museum during 2021 will be sent to participating girls by US Mail immediately following the program. -
