Hiller Aviation Museum

My son had a fantastic time at the Hiller Aviation Museum taking the Aviation Merit Badge class! He especially enjoyed doing a pre flight check on the Albatross that is on display in the museum as well as using the flight simulator. My husband took advantage of the opportunity to go through the museum while our son was in his class. I think he has been to the museum about 5 times and just loves it!

My boys enjoyed a great day participating in this merit badge at Hiller Aviation Museum. They really enjoyed the staff and opportunity to use flight simulators and construct a weather monitoring system.

It is really an amazing and impressive activity for Koen, since it is the first time he went to hiller Aviation Museum. He had great experience to understand more about the Aviation, especially the experience to drive the plane! He’s looking forward to visit there again!

Such a great event - girls had a wonderful experience exploring the cockpit, learning about amazing women pilots and all the various different types of aircraft and parts of a plane, and even making their own gliders.

Nice variety of activities for kids. Only downside was we had a hard time hearing the instructor. Also, the museum was very crowded and busy.

Very organized and dynamic field trip! My troop was engaged from beginning to end and the group leads were ready and available for any questions.

My scout said "I wasn't bored for a minute!" Now, that's high praise from a teen.

My daughter took the Brownie workshop on Sat 12/5/2020. She liked when they made helicopters together.

Great Museum! Aviation merit badge for Scouts BSA was great. Our daughter really enjoyed it.

We love Hiller for the fun events that it constantly is hosting. We make fun day trips from San Jose to the museum frequently. Recently my daughter attended a Girl Scout event at Hiller and she loved it. She learned all about airplanes, built and airplane and made a glider. She had a great time! Thank you!

My daughter said time was going by so fast because she was engaged in the lessons and had a blast with all the hands on activities. Definitely recommend the weather class. She will be back for the aviation class.

It is evident the employees and docents at Hiller have a passion for aviation. The museum is a wonderful resource!

This is a very good program for the boy scouts to achieve the Aviation merit badge. The boys really like it.
The only thing I am not satisfied is the lack of lunch information. That's why I give it 4-star.
The museum does not provide lunch for the scouts. But there is a burger king one block away. The scouts should bring their lunch or money to buy their lunch. It is better to put this info on the website.

We loved it - it was fun and our son loved making and using the weather detector/measurer Thank you for another great merit badge day!

What a great place! We really enjoyed our visit. The exhibits were interesting and getting the chance to try the flight simulators was really neat. And what a treat to go inside the 747 and climb the spiral staircase. I definitely recommend Hiller Aviation Museum.
