Heffalump School (Est: 1974)

This school is very good! My daught is 3+ and she was happy to go to school everyday! The teachers are super friendly and responsible. we ended up staying here for the whole summer. great school for toddlers' summer camp!

Highlighy recommend Heffalump. My son attended summer camp and the teachers were amazing. He got to participate in alot of entertaining and enriching activities.

I highly recommend Heffalump! Heffalump is a wonderful school! Meenakshi and Barbara are great teachers. My kids now 8 and10 went there 5 years ago but still we get together with some friends from Heffalump.

My son loves this school so much. Even after leaving the school for 6 month, he said "mama, I really want to go back to Mila school."

My daughter, who is turning 4 soon, is going to Heffalump. This is a neighborhood preschool that is located right behind our apartment complex. Heffalump is one of the few preschools that provides a play-based environment for the children. I believe that children should learn building interpersonal relationships with others from playing, I also like the fact that children at Heffalump get to play outdoor 1 - 2 times per day because it is important for children to develop their gross motor skills at this young age. The staff is also flexible and willing to make adjustment to accommodate parents' needs. Every time when I walked home with my daughter, she was either humming a song, galloping, or eager telling me what she did at the preschool.

My 2 years old goes to Heffalump and he enjoys his days at pre-school so much. Teachers are making such a wonderful environments for kids to explore, play and learn, and they are really good at handling kids with different personalities.

Our son who is now 5 has been going here since he just turned 2. He has naturally been reading since he was 2 and is very focussed so we wanted him to attend a pre school where he could "free play". For him Heffalump has helped him in many ways more than one. It is such a warm environment for any child to thrive. The teachers Minakshi, Barbara, Natalya and Craig are wonderful people who really genuinely love children and root for their growth; they nurture them is such a loving way. Each teacher brings in their own strength and combined - they form a great team. They build confidence in each child, and let kids be kids. Do not be fooled by the building (which is an old Palo Alto building setting) as you enter. Spend some time understanding how kids are loved and made to thrive in this wonderful pre-school. It is a no fuss, non fancy place - unlike most schools in the area. It is a home away from home. Kids rarely get sick as they are taught how to wash hands and taught how to be independent. Wonderful place!
