I enrolled my child in Futurebytes LLC’s spring camp for the week of April 14–18 and paid in full well in advance. I was confident that my child was all set for the school break — until I received a call on Friday, April 11 (just one business day before camp was supposed to start!) informing me that they had canceled the camp at our location due to low enrollment.

Instead, they offered me the option of driving my child from South San Jose to Santa Clara or Cupertino — every morning, during peak traffic — which is absolutely unrealistic for a working parent. Naturally, I had to decline. Thankfully, they issued a full refund, but that doesn’t change the fact that my spring break plans are now completely disrupted, and I’m left scrambling at the last minute.

This kind of disorganization is unacceptable. While I can’t speak to the quality of their actual camps, I strongly caution other parents: this organization is unreliable. Be aware that your plans may fall apart with almost no notice — even after you’ve paid and secured a spot.

Dear Maria, we're truly sorry for the disruption caused by the cancellation of our South San Jose spring camp. We understand how frustrating it is to adjust plans at the last minute, especially for working parents, and we regret we couldn't welcome your child to experience our camp.

Due to low enrollment, and despite our efforts to keep the location open, we had to consolidate programs. In line with our policy, we immediately offered alternative nearby locations with free extended care to help ease the transition. We understand that wasn’t a workable solution for you and, as promised, we processed a full refund right away.
While we deeply regret the inconvenience, we want to clarify this was not due to disorganization. We worked hard to make the best arrangements possible under the circumstances and communicated as soon as the decision was made.
Thank you for your feedback — it helps us improve. We hope to serve your family in the future under better circumstances.

Camp was just ok. Per our child’s report, there was not enough guided instruction or activity to fill a full day camp. Lots of free work or play time that could be used productively or could turn into lots of time at a pool or fusball table .

Thank you so much, Angie Ng, for sharing your feedback with us! We truly appreciate your input. At our San Jose location, we maintained a 1:6 staff-to-student ratio to ensure personalized attention. However, we will certainly follow up with our instructors to ensure that the entire planned curriculum was delivered flawlessly.
