Love the camp!
We signed up for Python but my kid was really interested in the Lego Robotics camp after the first day, so the teacher talked to me about it at the end of Day 1 and in no time we were able to move to the Lego Robotics camp. The camp was run by a boom town theme and the kids built a town of their own that includes police station, prison, a home with garage and parking lot, elevator, etc. Then the teacher taught them to program the motors so the fan could turn, the elevator could move up and down.
On the last day of camp, the kids presented their work to the parents including the demonstration of the robots. During the week, the kids worked with the senior campers to complete the build out.
It was a 3 hour camp from 9-12, but often times we stayed behind after 12 because my kid just wanted to keep on building. The teacher was very friendly and explained the camp concept and future competitions surrounding the lego robotics subjects.
There was another teacher who was a college student that taught the kids programming. At the end of the week, they presented what they learned in programming and the teacher took a video of it. Those kids presented so much!
Since it's COVID period, both teachers wore masks, checked kids temperature before and after the camp and there's a no-touch hand sanitizer machine to use. There's a break in the middle of the hours where kids ate their snacks and social.
I like this camp because the teacher provided a lot of information about what my kid was working on.
Due to low enrollment, and despite our efforts to keep the location open, we had to consolidate programs. In line with our policy, we immediately offered alternative nearby locations with free extended care to help ease the transition. We understand that wasn’t a workable solution for you and, as promised, we processed a full refund right away.
While we deeply regret the inconvenience, we want to clarify this was not due to disorganization. We worked hard to make the best arrangements possible under the circumstances and communicated as soon as the decision was made.
Thank you for your feedback — it helps us improve. We hope to serve your family in the future under better circumstances.
