Our "BUILD and BURN" workshop is ideal for kindergarten to third-grade students who want to learn about project-oriented structure building and coding in a fun and engaging environment.
During this workshop, students will engage in exploratory research, hands-on construction, teamwork, and imaginative play with LEGO elements to build and program robots using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0/Spike Essentials kits. These projects combine LEGO® bricks with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to develop computational thinking skills through physics concepts.
This workshop prepares students for participating in the FIRST LEGO League competition and the World Robotics Olympiad. Students will develop valuable skills such as invention, critical thinking, engineering, communication, and collaboration.
NOTE: 1. This semester we are introducing the Vex Go kit for 2nd and 3rd graders from VEX Robotics. Kinder and 1st graders will start with WE do2.0 and Spike Essentials kits after 6 sessions we will introduce Mbot and Dash robots to more work on Sequential coding.

It was disorganized and the instructors didn't give clear instructions. My son got frustrated because he always had to go searching in different bins for the parts he needed. He got paired up with a kid that kept messing with the iPad so it was hard to get the project done. Besides that, he liked it. Though he thought burn had to do with soldering, and was disappointed.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about the afterschool class at Discovery Falcon. We are very sorry to hear about your concerns. We have not received any complaints on the WhatsApp group created for parents, so we were unaware of this situation. It is surprising to hear that the instructors did not provide help, especially since we have a parent volunteer in the class. We will look into this matter. Regarding the soldering disappointment, please note that this is a LEGO class for 5 to 7-year-olds, as clearly stated in the title. We do not use soldering, even for older children, due to safety concerns.
