YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN 2023- FREE TO BE ME STUDIO

Performance dates: Friday June 9th, Saturday June 10th, Sunday June 11th

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin on April 25, 2023 and  take place primarily Tuesday or Thursday Evenings from 5-9pm (depending on age groups, we try to get our youngest students released by 8pm on weeknights, and usually earlier). There will be a few Saturday afternoon full cast rehearsals and 2 Sunday afternoon lead rehearsals.

Rehearsal Conflicts will be accepted within reason, however please turn in your conflicts as close to registration as possible. We prefer to receive all conflicts up front so that we can do our best to schedule around them. Too many last minute conflicts may result in being cut from certain numbers, or the show.

TECH WEEK DATES: (any conflicts during these dates MUST be presented prior to the lead auditions).

June 3rd + 4th: At Newcomb Academy (Times TBA)

June 5-8: Free to Be Me Studio 5pm-9pm (younger performers will be excused earlier).

All students who audition will be in the show as ensemble, on a first come first serve basis. There are only 30 spots available and priority will be given to those registered.

Lead roles and spoken featured roles will be assigned after auditions. Anyone interested in a lead or featured role is encouraged to audition. The audition will be an educational experience in a nurturing environment. We are not looking for perfection, but instead we are looking to match students with potential and skills with a part that they can proudly present on the stage in a 5 week time period. Our main focus in this show will be the group ensemble experience of working together as a WHOLE to put on a fantastic production that everyone will be proud of.

Lead roles will be multicast, which means students cast as leads will share the role with another student (or two), and in performances where they are not performing their lead role, they will be performing in the ensemble. We will have an audition workshop April 22nd, 2023 ( 11am-1pm) for those who would like some audition training and guidance. 

Auditions will be April 23rd from 1-4 PM

Callbacks April 25th 5-8:30PM

(We always prefer “in- person auditions” however, if for some reason you are unable to attend this audition time, please indicate this on your audition form and submit a video audition)
