Kids enjoyed their time but we were hoping for a little more. Like teaching etiquette, serving, rules, etc. It also would have been nice to use practice tennis balls to get kids used to hitting. Regulation balls are too bouncy to start learning.

My kid liked the tennis and swimming- on the swimming part it did take her two days to pass the test to get into the deeper end of the pool. I wish I knew this ahead of of time. Also it would be good to inform parents about the exact address of the tennis courts. The college of San Mateo is a big place.

I signed my 12 yr old kid up for the full day camp in San Mateo, and had hoped that he would get a few good hours learning tennis. But turned out the schedule was 2-3 hours tennis playing in the morning, lunch before noon, then after noon kids were transported to a different location (a local recreational center) where there was a pool and kids hang out in the pool for the rest of the day.
I think this is probably a camp more suitable for younger kids (early elementary school year old kids) where kids would just learn some very basics of tennis and mostly just to hang out with camp mates to have some summer fun. To be fair, I went back and checked the program description. It does mention that the day is split up like this.
The staff was warm and friendly. My kid liked them a lot but wished they would play more tennis.
