This camp has been absolutely *life changing* for our son. Instead of being cooped up on screens all winter break or stuck in a classroom he has been getting out into nature, making new friends, learning about our world and getting some exercise! Very disappointing experience. They advertised outdoors and nature —rain or shine— but instead locked up the kiddos in an indoor play house for most of the day — when it was not even raining — and got many of them infected with bronchitis and flu. Counselors were on their phones and not providing any fun activities. Reached out to the owner — zero response.

I apologize, but I thought we did talk. It was supposed to rain pretty hard for 3 days so we went to La Petite Playhouse on Tuesday after playing in the rain all day on Monday. We were at the playhouse from 9:30 to 11:30 and then spent the rest of the day at a large lovely park outside. We went back to the playhouse for about 30 minutes to gather the belongings that were left and play for a bit. None of the other camp kids got sick. Wednesday we were back playing in the forest in the rain, making fishing poles and catching and releasing crawdads and counting banana slugs at Memorial County Park. The other children LOVED that they got to go to the playhouse to take a break from the rain. As for the counselors, Nina and I were playing with the kids on the play structure, playing soccer, volleyball, basketball and Air hockey. There was so much to do and everyone else had fun! So sorry that your son didn't have fun. Maybe he wasn't feeling well that day? Best wishes and Happy New Year! Kathy
