Overview

Student-Teacher Ratio 5:1

Aspiring peddlers and paddlers ages four to six learn the joys of wheels and water in this dual sport camp. This modified full-day program gives our pint-sized campers the chance to bike for ½ of every day and paddle for ½ of every day. Nurtured by skilled, patient instructors in a supportive environment, our Learn to Bike & Paddle kiddos enjoy camper-to-staff ratios of 5:1 for lots of individual attention and paddling fun.

Campers will be introduced to biking, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding through a variety of games, activities, and instruction. They’ll get familiar with their equipment, practice pedaling on two wheels, learn paddling techniques, water safety and will gain confidence stroke by stroke.

Biking: Our carefully crafted program leads kids through a progression of skills—walking their bikes, scooting downhill, coasting with their feet up, touching the pedals and finally pedaling—building the know-how they need to bike confidently on their own.

Paddling: Our carefully crafted program leads kids through a progression of skills-building the know-how they need to paddle confidently. Campers will learn how to Kayak and SUP.

*Learn to Bike & Paddle is a slightly shorter full-day program from 9:30am-2:30pm and will meet at a local paddling area, consistent throughout the week.

My son (4 yrs old) enjoyed the coaches and the experience a lot. He seemed to enjoy the biking more than kayaking. I am very happy that he entered the camp not knowing how to bike at all and left on the cusp of biking on his own. He is now a few days removed from the camp biking fully and loving it!
