Our Leaders-in-Training Program gives teens life-changing opportunities to take on meaningful leadership roles at camp, push their limits on a five-day expedition in the wilderness and grow their outdoor skills, building lasting knowledge and experience they can use throughout their lives.
Under the supervision of our most senior instructors, Leaders-in-Training work behind the scenes in every aspect of the camp experience, from teaching outdoor activities to younger campers to planning all-camp events to working in the dining hall. Along the way, they develop solid leadership and hands-on teaching skills, plus the confidence to put them to use.
Their two-week session also includes an extended expedition, a mountain-scaling Via Ferrata experience, a camp betterment project, the chance to earn a CPR certification and daily opportunities to engage in their favorite adventure sports. And that’s on top of all the other incredible moments—playing games, going for impromptu hikes, sharing stories, hanging out with new friends—that make overnight camp so unforgettable.
