Overview

You will work with your detective team in multiple mystery escape rooms to solve the crimes against Professor Smite, Constable Johnson and Contessa Maya. Each mystery will be solved with hidden locks, secret messages to guide you, invisible clues, cryptex messages, spy decoders and more. No two crimes are alike! As a CSI Investigator, you will create your own slime, hunt down objects in your home to get to the next escape room challenge. This camp is a must for those that love detective work, scavenger hunts and mysteries. Solve all the mysteries, puzzles and crimes to obtain your certification as the Director of CSI

Extras Included:

Along with the Camp In A Box and the 3 hours of activities a day with our camp counselors, we will also have readily available themed and fitness challenges as well as virtual learning activities they can do on their own time every day.

Free Delivery of the Camp in the Box if you are within a 3 mile radius of our building located at 6120 Innovation Way, Carlsbad California.

Not Included:

Zoom Set up/connections. High speed internet using a laptop or computer with web camera centered above the console is the best way to experience this camp

No class recordings due to safety.

Delivery of Camp in a Box 3-5 miles is $5 per box, 5 to 10 miles $15 a box. Over 10 miles will be by shipping only. We will charge you only the shipping charge once you sign up for the camp. Shipping costs vary so please guestimate $25 if out of state. You must sign up and pay for the camp at least 10 days before camp date start to ensure your delivery of your Camp In A Box. No P.O.s and you will have to sign for your box.

Itinerary

For Parents/Guardians:

We have designed this camp so that it will require minimal involvement from an adult. All materials that are needed for this camp are included in your Camp in a Box. Box includes daily activities/worksheets, all art supplies (including paper, clay, glue and coloring sticks) , prizes, coloring/puzzle sheets and theme based materials. This is to free up your time. You are welcome to play along and have fun with your camper! All we ask of the parent is to make sure the connection to Zoom is strong, read parent notes that are included in the Box and hide some items in your house after your camper goes to bed (don’t worry – not too many things).

Although camp counselors will be on hand at all times for the 3 hours, we feel it is important to have balanced activities. The less screen time – the better. We encourage interaction with other campers, doing art projects, building lego structures, hunting for items in the house and deciphering puzzles and riddles.

For Campers:

Schedule will be modified based on camper enjoyment, parent feedback and campers’ abilities as the camp week moves on. They will want to open their Camp in a Box for the day before the camp starts. We suggest while they are having breakfast so they can get excited about the day’s activities. Once logged in, every day starts with a fitness warm up training that is personalized for each camper to WAKE THEM UP. We then move on to themed based activities that can go anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes; with some building over the course of a few days - depending on intensity. Every day at Noon we will stop to eat lunch together and get to know our other campers. Our goal is to make sure every camper finds a new friend each week. End the day with dancing or a cool challenge. Points are awarded for mini challenges during the week that can be earned by i.e. helping to clean up after lunch, helping out at home for the week, memorizing names of other campers, helping a new camper feel less nervous and being their buddy in a challenge.

Martial Arts is not conducted in the camp unless outlined in activity week’s description.

Friday is Costume Day! Wear your best CSI outfit.

Highly recommended! We did a virtual trial class with AK Martial arts and my 6 year old absolutely LOVED it. We have tried a couple of different virtual martial arts classes as well as one or two in person, but this was the first one she could not wait to go back to because they really make it fun with stories and games. Other martial arts places tended to be more traditionally serious, which is fine, but during lockdown, I was just looking for virtual instruction she'd be more enthusiastic about (instead of me pushing her to go). Well they fit the bill, so much so, that my more reluctant older kid (who kept saying she never wanted to do martial arts) also asked to sign up!
