Highly recommended! We did a virtual trial class with AK Martial arts and my 6 year old absolutely LOVED it. We have tried a couple of different virtual martial arts classes as well as one or two in person, but this was the first one she could not wait to go back to because they really make it fun with stories and games. Other martial arts places tended to be more traditionally serious, which is fine, but during lockdown, I was just looking for virtual instruction she'd be more enthusiastic about (instead of me pushing her to go). Well they fit the bill, so much so, that my more reluctant older kid (who kept saying she never wanted to do martial arts) also asked to sign up!

Our 9 year old daughter took the online Wizarding Camp, and absolutely loved it. She’s taken many distance learning zoom camps but this one was, hands down, her favorite. She gave us a whole recap of the weeklong progression of the camp after it was over. She had been telling us each day that camp was great but that many story points were a secret and that she would tell us the whole story after it was all done on Friday. We haven’t seen her this fully engaged in a zoom camp before or since. We would sign her up again and recommend it to anyone with a child who likes fantasy or using their imagination with props and guidance from a great teacher. The rare technical difficulties we had (due to our end, not theirs) were handled swiftly and graciously. The team that runs this camp is top notch, approachable and obviously cares deeply about providing a wonderful summer experience for kids. I can’t say enough good things about AK Martial Arts & Fitness, Inc!

Both of my kids (ages 7 and 10) have really enjoyed their times at AK camps. They create a fun and creative environment with structure. My daughter also takes martial arts classes here. It's not around the corner from my house but the quality of the program makes it worth the drive every time. The facility is impeccable and very clean as well which is important to us. I know they take very good care of the areas and the families therefore show the same care.

Highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a karate school!! AK Martial Arts and Fitness, Inc is the best Do Jang in North County. My son (11 yrs old) has been training since he was 5 and my daughter (8), training since she was 4. We love everything about this school. It’s very family oriented with fantastic and super friendly staff. The owners/instructors are incredible, amazing with the children, and truly care about them and are constantly challenging the students to better their practice. I started training with my kids 4 years ago and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. When the lockdown started, this Do Jang didn’t skip a beat. They immediately switched gears and transitioned to virtual karate classes like pros. Tang Soo!

We have been with AK Martial Arts for several years and it feels like family. We are very impressed with the hard work they put out to continue classes during stay home restrictions. I would and have recommended them to friends.

My son has been going to AK Martial Arts for almost a year and we love it! He is part of their After School Program, Martial Arts, Day Camps, and Parents Night Outs. It is an exceptional set of programs, that incorporate learning, fun, physical fitness, and learning with safety and cleanliness. He never wants to miss an activity as he loves the instructors, staff, the owners, and all of the friends that he has made there. As a parent I appreciate the kindness given, the safety aspect, and the values. It is the perfect place for us and you will love it there too. Your kids won't want to leave.

I absolutely endorse AK Martial Arts & Fitness! My son has developed life-long skills through his karate training - discipline, confidence, and social skills. The owners have put their heart into making this business a means to directly support the fitness well being. The staff treats us like family, the facility is clean and professional, and the programs including such as the Agility program, after school programs, the extremely creative Summer Camps, and monthly Parent's Night Out are superb. Additionally, I can't fully express how grateful we are that during the Covid-19 lockdown AK did not miss a beat! They remotely continued their daily karate classes, with additional weekend activities - without that my son would not have had any socialization or physical activity.

I recommend them 100%. I started searching for Martial Arts classes for my son in December 2019 and out of a few that I visited, AK Martial Arts seemed like the one for both me and my son. Now after 6 months (and what 6 months it has been!) I could not be happier of the choice that we made. Not only they are experts in teaching the techniques of karate to the kids, but more importantly they keep it fun and active while teaching respect and building self esteem in students. All the staff are super friendly and helpful and that's how you feel as part of a family. On top of that, their quick transition to virtual classes in such a short time and their flexibility to work with families and build some sense if normalcy for the kids is beyond expression. I admire their positive spirit that makes them great role models for my son and myself! I am and always will be grateful to AKMA and proud to be part of their family! I don't usually recommend firms, but it's different with AKMA.

AK Martial Arts is THE BEST. Their classes, camps, activities, the whole organization. COVID has been a nightmare for everyone - especially those with children. But AKMA has done an incredible job to keep our kiddos engaged, focused, and busy ! There are a lot of martial arts places around but I would recommend AKMA above all. They truly care about all of their students and families.

It's the first time my daughter ask me to learn more martial art class. She has so much fun in the first class. She can't wait for her following class.

I have 3 girls that each started here when they turned 3. They are professional while still friendly and my kids have so much respect for the instructors. They have been a constant in our lives for almost 5 years. The classes are always engaging, fun, and challenging. They transitioned to online zoom classes seamlessly.

We have been part of the AK Martial Arts family for five years and absolutely love it!! They incorporate fun with learning in a safe environment. We don't usually endorse firms, but we go out of our way to tell people of the fun events, the great results of their training both physically and mentally. The Parent Night Out each month are win win for parents, kids and schools they benefit and the camps keep the kids engaged. Love this place!

We love AK camps for our 5 & 8 year old boys. They are fast paced, always different, engaging, interactive and just large enough to be fun but not too large. We spend at least half of our summers at AK camps!

My kids have been coming here for 9 years. They are absolutely fantastic with the kids. The camps for have almost non-stop activities unlike others. I highly recommend their karate classes, camps and Parent Night Out's.

AK Martial Arts is a kid-centered, high-quality experience for martial arts. Not only do kids learn exceptional martial arts skills in the Tang Soo Do tradition, kids are taught by Master level teachers ensuring that they know the correct forms. Further, AK offers much more than martial arts, there are summer and school-break camps which provide lots of activities for kids. But you don't have to be a kid to benefit from AK Martial Arts, there are plenty of classes for adults again taught by Master level black belts. Two of my children have attended and benefited greatly from being students with AK Martial Arts. I recommend them highly.

My 9 year old has been to several day camps at AK Martial Arts & Fitness and he always has fun. As a parent, it is good to have a place for him to go during vacations that I know is safe and that he will have fun and get a good dose of physical activity in all at the same time!

We started off at this karate school in 2010 with my oldest when it was a tiny studio off of business park drive. Fast forward to now and wow what tremendous growth!! All 3 kids of mine have or are now training. Summer camps, private tutoring to karate students, assistant instructor program for red and black belts, kick fit with Jenny classes for adults, birthday parties and more!! The camps are organized so well focusing on what the childrens interests are in this ever changing world. Check them out yourself. The staff is always so welcoming and ready to answer your questions.

Would highly recommend! AK Martial Arts and Fitness is fun, family-friendly, and has some very outstanding classes to choose from. The instructors are above and beyond and the staff is all around very friendly. Student's are taught good behavior that applies not only at the do jang, but also at home and school. Instructors are very patient with students and are very good at making the class super enjoyable. Another plus is that they focus in very hard to keep the facility clean!

Fun and engaging theme based camps with new activities each week! My son loved attending the camps when he was young and now as a black belt he loves to come back as a camp counselor. The camps are very active and creative so there is something that will appeal to all kids interests.

Wow! These are the most incredible camps. They keep the children engaged in such fun, exciting and educational activities. My daughter absolutely loves AK’s camps. Nerf tag, robotics, hamster ball races and so much more.
