New Frontiers…
New family memories are made at the New England Hemophilia Association’s (NEHA) Family Camp. At this camp, children are encouraged to try new sports and activities. Medical staff is onsite 24/7 to handle any emergencies that may arise. All family members enjoy the day learning new things and joining in the activities on site. We offer archery, arts and crafts, woodshop, waterfront, infusion classes and sessions for siblings. Everyone comes together as the sun sets to share the events of the day around the campfire with other families from the community.
NEHA Family Camp seeks to build knowledge, self-care, and community in a supportive, safe, and engaging camp environment. Camp is the marquee program of NEHA's events to support individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, von Willebrand's and other rare bleeding disorders. This is the only camp for people with bleeding disorders in all of New England.
Since 1992, NEHA has proudly offered Family Camp to the New England bleeding disorders community at Geneva Point Center in Moultonborough, NH. We currently serve 77 families (300+ individuals). We believe that living with a chronic disease doesn’t have to feel so isolating.
All staff are interviewed. Staff ages 18+ go through a background check. Families stay together in cabins at camp. Medical staff is on-site 24/7 for medical emergencies.
