This program is designed for the experienced dancer who is dedicated and disciplined. Daily and weekly classes include:
Dance Fundamentals: Flexibility, barre routines, center routines, and technical skills (leaps, jumps, turns, flips)
Tumbling: Intermediate to advanced tumbling skills, including front/back walkovers, aerial, front aerial, tumbling combinations, and other advanced techniques.
Bearing and Form: Called shenyun shenfa in Chinese, this is a training regimen unique to Classical Chinese dance. Designed to train dancers to grasp the “feeling” or inner essence of Chinese dance, its system of basic element routines emphasize the coordination of breath, physical movement, and spirit.
Performance/Repertoire: Training in stage presentation and artistry that culminates with a set of full-length dances for the session-end showcase.
