Xian Yun Academy of the Arts

Xian Yun Academy of the Arts is a fully accredited arts high school. Our mission is to provide young people with a curriculum that features training in traditional arts that facilitates the understanding of different cultures, offering dance education to persons who are both accomplished and talented.

At Xian Yun, we believe that the best education for today’s youth is to enrich their lives with the beauty and strong values of traditional arts which transcend all cultures. Authentic traditional arts place great emphasis on improving the artist’s inner beauty and character, which directly manifest in their work. We further believe that with a noble character, young talented students become more effective learners in all areas as they become more focused and self-disciplined.

We aim to educate the whole child by placing equal emphasis on professional skills, academic knowledge, the study of culture, and character development.

Xian Yun provides two distinct tracks for eligible students:
1) Arts-Intensive + Academics track for grades 6-12
2) College-Preparatory Academics and Arts track for grades 9-12

In addition to offering a 6-12th grade curriculum, Xian Yun is also committed to extending its “Whole Child Approach” to the community through Enrichment Programs to students ages 5 and above. Families can choose from a wide variety of classes every day of the week to enrich their child’s education with a fully immersive experience in traditional arts including Dance, Visual Arts, and Chinese Language & Culture.

Xian Yun was founded and incorporated not-for-profit in 2010; co-educational, non-religious.
