Response to Literature will teach students how to read passages and extract meaning - a skill that enables them to 'learn how to learn better' and make every part of school and life easier! By moving from reading to responding, students improve their skills in writing clearly, and develop their ability to form and express their words effectively! Experienced instructors, small classes! Descriptive Authors Bring your writing to life with colorful, vibrant, entrancing descriptions! Students learn to explore their vocabulary and use it in fun new ways, creating accurate and exciting descriptions – a skill vital for any writer. They learn about writing tools like metaphor and similes, how to make best use of their vocabulary and recognize the use of idioms, and master communicating confidently and creatively in writing! Experienced instructors, small classes! Narrative Writers Express your creativity and make your writing SHINE! Turn your imagination into complete stories by mastering the writing tools and narrative parts that every good story needs: Character, Plot, Setting, Narration, and your own unique style! Students learn from existing stories and create their own, practicing writing skills that are both practical and FUN! Experienced instructors, small classes! Student Publication Become a published author and perfect your writing skills! In this serious and seriously fun course, students create a complete writing project of their own design – and then revise and polish it to perfection before learning how to publish their work! They master editing, revision, focus, and other writing skills while learning about the publishing process and how to submit their work to publications open to student writing. Hello! Thank you for your interest in our programs. The program price for summer is $205 per week-long camp (1 week, Mon-Fri). With our Early Bird sale (ends 5/22!), yes, that price would be $195 per week-long camp. The exception is the 7/6 week will be $165 ($155 with the Early Bird) due to it being a 4-day week instead of 5-days. Each week will have different content covered so parents can sign up for multiple weeks. Hope that helps clarify. -
