Classic Camp with Ponies

Does your camper love horses? Classic Camp with Ponies is for any camper who wants to spend time at the barn while also enjoying the diversity of the Classic Camp experience. Riding skills are assessed by staff before campers are placed in groups based on riding levels. Participants spend either the morning or afternoon in the barn practicing their riding skills and developing “Horse Smarts” through horsemanship lessons. Campers will also have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities to fill the rest of their awesome, fun-filled week. Campers build lasting friendships, try new adventures and are encouraged to have thirty seconds of courage each day as they find their home away from home in the magic of Camp Misty Mountain!



Camp Misty Mountain is a camp for ALL girls, not just those who are already registered Girl Scouts or participate in troops. The Girl Scout membership fee is $25 and is valid until 9/30/24. It is not necessary to belong to a troop to be a Girl Scout. Membership will qualify you to participate in a variety of camp and community events all year long (available on the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta website).

Junior Horseback Riding and each week, campers work together with their group to choose their badge, including options for developing Outdoor, Social, and Life Skills.
