Filmmaking Summer Camp

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a great filmmaker? 

Start your journey at Midpen, where you will learn from our expert instructor (a filmmaker herself!) all of the basics of all aspects of making a movie. In our one week camp, students will be given a foundational understanding of film vocabulary and theory before they embark on their own filmmaking journey and script, shoot, and edit a project of their creation using professional equipment and methods. 

Students will be guided through the whole process, and will be given opportunities to try all of the major roles on a movie production, including writer, director, camera operator, and editor.

At the end of the week, we will hold a screening for friends and family where all of our students’ movies will be shown. In the past, some of these short films have even been selected to screen at film festivals across the nation! Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to start your cinematic journey!
