About
Light Soccer Camp

Light Soccer Camp coached by David and Fernando Light, is a soccer camp that runs from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM throughout the year in Palo Alto, California (see registration page for exact dates).  The camp will focus on improving the technical, tactical, mental and physical aspects of each players’ game.  We strive for campers to have an inspiring and memorable experience, where they will learn a lot about the game, and have a  blast with their friends, teammates, and coaches.  Coach David and Fernando have developed players at the Club and High school level in Palo Alto over the last 15 years, and David is currently the Boys' Varsity Head Coach at Cupertino High School.  He also coaches at Stanford and Red Star Soccer Club.  Fernando is currently coaching at Palo Alto Soccer Club, and has many years of club and High school coaching experience.  Both David and Fernando are former college soccer players and possess advanced US Soccer coaching licenses. Our 8-year-old son participated in a Spring Camp, and he had a fantastic time. We've already secured a spot for the Summer Camp! Each day consists of three hours packed with technical lessons and games. Coach David and Coach Fernando are highly experienced, and our son showed significant improvement in just a week. Whether your child is a casual player or a more serious one, this program seems to cater to both. We're thrilled to have discovered and enrolled in this camp!

My kids 7 and 9 attended the Light soccer camp for the first time this winter. I originally signed up for just a few days but ended up adding on more days because the boys loved going (and they went in the rain). As a parent, I love that the camp balances fun, skill trainings and game play. Coach David, coach Fernando, coach Ian and coach Christina were all fantastic! I was particularly impressed by how engaged the coaches are and how much they know about each individual child after just a couple of days, it really shows that they care! The camp has a nice group of kids with different skill levels from beginners to advanced players. For reference, my boys play for a local competitive club at the beginner level, they enjoyed the camp and were appropriately challenged.
