Wee Scotty is a fashion school, boutique, design house, and so much more. Over twenty years down the road Wee Scotty has built a reputation as a center for fashion, creativity and fun. Lynne and the staff have taught kids to sew who went on to attend NYU, Pratt, RISD, Academy of Art, Parsons and many more, bringing with them the skills they learned at Wee Scotty.

The Wee Scotty name epitomizes a unique approach to retailing, manufacturing, interactive education, design schooling and promotion of young designers... all under one roof.

Our Staff

Lynne Gallagher is the owner and founder of Wee Scotty. While honing her skills in costume design for numerous theatrical productions and touring rock bands including the Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Shakira, Metallica, and Ringo Starr, Gallagher dreamed of creating a children's clothing business that would be anything but ordinary.

Her move to San Francisco in 1991 enabled her to pursue this dream which became Wee Scotty. Her flair for the dramatic translated into bold fabrics, colors and textures that eventually would become the Wee Scotty trademark. Lynne's passion for design and sewing lead to the embarking of knowledge to young sewists!

My 13-year-old daughter had a week-long activity at Wee Scotty where she designed and made her own dress and overall it was a very positive experience for her! She learned some great basic sewing skills and enjoyed the process of creating something that she can actually wear. The Wee Scotty staff were friendly and patient and helped out/supported just the right amount. Project based learning at its finest!

My 6 year old daughter had her first sewing class here recently and she enjoyed it! Her teacher, Claire, was very patient, kind and approachable for my shyish 6 year old daughter. All around it was a good experience. We will definitely take another class there. And the best part is the little Scotty mascot dog that runs up to say hi every time you come in.
