Overview

This class is for middle and high school students interested in improving their written and communication skills.  It teaches English grammar concepts in-depth and for life! We write, read, and learn from award-winning literature. Come with the intention of developing clear, practical, and inspiring writing. The classes follow upper-division classes from accredited institutions. 

The coursework is designed to progress gradually, providing a steady and manageable learning curve for the dedicated student. It not only enhances writing skills but also significantly improves critical reading and comprehension skills. Students will build a portfolio and develop winning writing skills that will serve them for life. All course materials are meticulously prepared by a curriculum developer specifically for this course, ensuring a systematic and effective learning process. 

This is not just a class, but a live interactive learning experience led by a professional educator. Students will have the opportunity to actively participate, ask questions, and engage in discussions, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment. 

If you plan to score high in ACT/SAT/PSAT tests or take AP English Language and Composition, this class is a must. The final score will only be satisfactory with learning the inner structure of grammar and mechanics.

I do offer academic writing which includes expository, persuasive, personal narrative, flash-fiction, opinion article writing and analysis. All students take a preliminary baseline assessment to understand their grammar level. The results are shared with the parents upon taking the assessment. Hello Ranjani, Thank you for getting in touch. I have online classes daily for different levels and ages. The grammar and academic writing classes are 2 hours long, once a week. We meet on Wed., Th., or Friday 4:15 PM - 6:15 PM; or Saturday from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM for high school students only. There is a one hour class for beginners Gr. 5 &6 on Mondays from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm. All the other classes are two-hours long. The writing workshops are every day, five days a week and they start in July. The intention is to write for publishing.
