Overview

Teens are invited to join author and illustrator Jarrett J. Krosoczka as he live Zooms with us!

Jarrett is the author and illustrator of the 2018 autobiographical graphic novel Hey, Kiddo: How I Lost My Mother, Found My Father, and Dealt with Family Addiction* . Hey, Kiddo, a beautiful graphic novel tells the story of Jarrett’s unconventional childhood- being raised by his grandparents while his mother struggled with addiction.

Jarrett will talk to us about his experiences growing up, and how he turned them into the multiple-award winning graphic novel that is today.

Following the presentation, there will be a live drawing and Q&A.

The first ten, local registrations will receive a free copy of Hey, Kiddo!

*Hey, Kiddo was a National Book Award finalist and received starred reviews from Kirkus, Booklist, SLJ, Publishers Weekly and The Horn Book.
